Sennheiser HD 429 Headphones Review

Comfortable, powerful, sublime.

Clear audio, comfortable to use, circumaural design provides some sound isolation

Unnecessarily long cable, low bass response

At the end of the day if you can live with the extra long cable and don’t mind the low bass response (unless you use an equalizer or external amp), the Sennheiser HD 429 provide exceptional audio quality for the money. They’re comfortable, easy to use...

Amazing!

Really amazing headphones. Not only are they super comfortable, the long cord is great for a desktop setup. Sounds is better then any headphone I've tried for the great price of $35. Would recommend to anyone that doesn't have over the ear headphones

A little loose around too of head

Works like a champ

I went from using Razer Ear buds to these and I am somewhat disappointed as I feel I need to spend $20 and get an inline Amplifier in order to have the same volume that the Razer's had (that were 4 years old). The sound reproduction beats the Razer...

Concise sound, long cord, comfortable pads for long wear (I use them to listen to music via Google Play while walking to work). They don't feel heavy when I wear them. Music reproduction is magnificent and I am able to really hear all the music and the...

The sound isn't very loud. I have to turn my phone volume all the way up to hear them without straining. I would expect them to be louder as they are with my Sennheiser headset I use for gaming that are 9 years old

Great Sound, but not very loud

Sennheiser HD 429

These headphones are really nice, good sound (with a sounds card, if not dont get them)

They feel like cheap plastic, like with just me putting them on/off will break them one day, which isn't good ; Also the sound is not very good without a sound card, its also very quiet without a sound card, overall these are decent ; cant get much...

Poor material quality

I can't recommend a replacement brand just yet, but for my atleast I am not going to throw anymore money at Sennheiser equipment as it is definitely no longer remotely close to professional grade.

Still has class Sennheiser sound

I have been a customer of Sennheiser's headphones for close to a decade, I originally owned a pair of HD 428's that lasted 3 years. Now in the last 4 months I've gone through a new 428 and now a 429 that both have deteriorated disturbingly quickly as...

Fantastic headphones

Definitely recommend these if you're looking for midrange headphones.

I bought these after the connection to the earcups on my HD 202s began to fail on both sides ; Sound quality is fantastic - at least to me - and improved after breaking them in for a couple weeks, although the sound is very flat and benefits from a...

No real complaints except that the cord is very, very thin, almost worryingly so

Great Cans

Use an equalizer. The bass is not over emphasized on these nor the mids or highs, it has a nice flat sound. if you want more bass turn it up it has 40mm drivers, they CAN produce more.

Nice sound, very sturdy. Really long cord and gold plated 3.5mm connector. Love the look of these, not too flashy and not too plain. Gotta love the Sennheiser logo

Really long cord, can bother some if they dont like long cords, but I dont mind so not worth losing an egg over

Exactly as Advertised

I regret to admit I bought these offline...

Great sound they work exactly as advertised by Sennheiser themselves

What I plug them into... I have a cheap off-name-brand portable device and a laptop with some driver issues

Bang for the buck

One hell of a bang for the buck product. Comfort, bass, treble everything about these headphones makes them a perfect buy at their price point. Pros: - Extremely comfortable, even 2-4 hours with them on and you won't feel like you have a pair of...
