For the price you’d pay, the Sennheiser HD 558s offer a good level of sound quality, comfort, and aesthetic appeal, and are the worthy successors to the Sennheiser HD 555s. The Sennheiser HD 558s are impressive mid-range headphones.

Sounds amazing. Can hear people speaking to you without removing them. Very comfortable once you break them in a little. Not very heavy when compared to something like the Logitech G35.

Initially bothered my ears a bit, so I was shifting them around a bunch. After a few days it was good. Could use a mic, but that's not really what they're for. I'm stretching to come up with stuff here.

Very surprised.

 

Big balanced clear sound. Open back design is a game changer for me. I was skeptical about the whole open sound stage, but I'm sold. Best sounding and most comfortable well built headphones I've ever owned. And Less than $150?! buy one for your wife too!
