Expert Review

The MX70 headphones do not live up to the reputation created by Sennheiser's other earbud products. The clip on design means it is difficult to make the earbuds sit properly and their sound quality leaves quite a bit to be desired.

Clips mean they are less likely to fall out

Sound lacking bass and impact, Design means they don't sit properly

Sennheiser's new range of earbuds has, for the most part, been quite impressive. Unfortunately their new sports model, the MX70, leaves a little to be...

Sennheiser MX70

They might be cheap but these on-ear 'phones aren't cheerful

Less prone to tangling, cheap price

Thin sounding, reluctance to sit on ear

waste for me

For the price, I hoped they would at the very least stay in my ear while I jogged, this is something they can not do for me. However if I push them into my ear and hold them with my hands they sound good, move my hands and they just pop out...

Look well made, stick together because of magnets.

Thought it said it came with a cable extension, mine didn't so it's quite short. Actually from my mp3 player in my pocket, they are to short to run through my shirt. What's really bad though, is that for me, they are not sport head phones at all....

No problems so far....

I'll update as these get some wear, but otherwise, they sound MUCH better than any other MX series earbud and better than the highly touted AKG K14P's which I also bought recently on impulse.

Good midrange and treble performance. Good, comfortable fit for me [of course, YMMV]. Wire hasn't split yet.... yet. Possibly the best sounding earbud I've used, albeit not as good as my Grado SR60's at 3 times the price or my Senn HD580's at 10 times...

Something about the green material of the cord seems to make it want to stay in the coiled shape that they were shipped in. It's been 5 days and it STILL won't straighten. This is compared to my MX450's [which these were intended to replace] which...

Great for the first 15 minutes

The earphones were great for the first 15 minutes that I used them. After that, the green coating on the wire started to perforate and just peel away. What a pity as they are comfortable and sound really great but after just 15 minutes' of use, they...

Comfortable to wear, great sound.

The coating on the wire peeled away, rendering them useless after only 15 minutes!

TOO BIG ANNOYING VOLUME CONTROL

These headphones look great. They will only fit your ears if you have huge ear holes. Also the bulky volume control can be annoying what is the point in an in-line volume control anyway?

Wicked! Love the colour and the sound.

Lets get somthing straight, these are not the best for "aggressive" sports like running or rowing becuase they do not sit, statue like in your ear. What I like is that these are perfect for my less athletic pace around the gym or walking & cycling...

too big for most, but pretty solid performing if they fit...

decent sports headphones as far as audio quality goes, but the wouldn't stay in my ears all, even for walking around, let alone working out - not a problem I've ever had before... and that's without putting the covers on!
