Sennheiser MX 85 Sport Review

Sennheiser is a name that is synonymous with audio gear.  These guys make everything from high grade headphones, to studio quality microphones.  So it should come as no surprise that they want to extend their reach into the athletic arena.  They have...

The design is the best I have used to date. They sit securely in your ears, without being a direct in ear headphone.  The extension really provides a lot of stability during use, and unlike the Yurbuds, you really forget you are wearing them.  That...

Sennheiser PMX 80 Sport II headphones

The Sennheiser PMX 80 Sport II headphones are built for heavy sports use. They won't survive a scuba diving trip, but will brush off any sweat drenched on them, while staying stuck to your head without bother thanks to a flexible but robust neckband.

If you're a fitness fanatic who sweats more than Lee Evans in a sauna, you'll love the water-resistant band on the Sennheiser PMX 80 Sport II. You can wipe it down with a flannel after a work out without fear of frazzling the phones, and the buds will...

Alas, Sennheiser has a ticket onboard the train of thought that passes through "sports" and "EXTREME" and arrives at "Must love garish colours". There's just no good reason for these to be bright orange, unless you live a double life as a traffic cone,...

These are cans for treadmill plodders and long distance joggers only. If we're honest, the real advantage is the isolation: put a track on and you can zone out completely. Sound quality can't quite match Sennheiser's normal high standards, but hey, for...

The Search Is Over

Like many others writing reviews, I have tried a few different headphones by sony, nike, and finally, sennheiser. Except for the lack of a short cord option, these headphones have the best fit/sound of all I have tried. They remain tightly in my ear,...

great value

These are the only headphones I've found that stay in my ears while running and have great sound. They were much cheaper on this site.

Super headphones

I have had to purchase several sets of headphones for gym use. This set not only is standing up to the test, but the headphones actually stay in place and feel comfortable. I would recommend this product to any gym user.

Final Verdict: The best headphones for running

Over the last ~3 years I have been through 20+ headphones looking for ones that meet the following criteria, in order of importance: 1)Stay in my ears2)Sound (actually just about as important as #1)3)Comfort4)Don't get wet with sweat that decreases the...

Great for sports use.

These headphones work great when you are doing anything sports related. Most of the time I use them while running and they stay on the head securely and the sound is just right.

Sound great...buds hurt smaller ears

These Sennheisers sound great! The only problem I have with them is that the earbud part of the headphones are rather large (bigger than stock iPod ones) and don't fit in my ears. They hurt after just a few minutes. The sound really is great, though.

Sound good, stay on

Sound good, stay on, that about says it all. I use them while working out and I pretty much forget they are on my head. Wish they were a little less expensive, I'd probably buy a spare if they were.

okay headphones for the gym

They are great except when you lie on your back, like when doing bench press, they pop out of your ears.
