Great sound and sturdy volume control

Great earbuds for those who don\'t want inside ear canal earphones; need to use the soft earbud pad covers to ensure placement in ear; sturdy inline volume control; subtle earbud design really does keep cord away from ear; great sound for the price!

Sennheiser MX 880

The MX 880 earbuds sound great but the integrated volume control is seriously flawed making it almost totally useless. I managed to find reviews by three other people that have the same problem and there are not many reviews for this model on the...

A poor design ruins the functionality of these headphones.

A poor design ruins the functionality of these headphones.

I typically really like Sennheiser headphones. I love my HD595s, but I needed something more portable for commutes and outdoor activities. After trying these for about a week, I can say they're definitely not for me. The basic sound quality is...

Excellent sound quality, flimsy cord, weak bass

I ordered these after my Shure E2C earphones' cable cracked and shorted out. The Shure seal nearly ALL sound out, so I could not hear my wife calling or my baby crying if I use them in both ears. This is great for the listening experience - not so...

Gorgeous mids & highs, incredible stereo separation, very lightweight & portable

Sennheiser MX 880 Stereo Headphones

Comfortable fit. Clean balanced sound. I have a pair of Sure EC2's that were $40 more and I like these better, the bass has better balance and the fit is much more comfortable. Miles ahead of the $40 Sony's that I returned to Best Buy. These are a...

A TRUE, audiophile-quality earbud?

A TRUE, audiophile-quality earbud?

Some months ago while rummaging through my basement, I found a pair of earbuds in a plastic bag that came with the laptop I purchased over 2 years. Knowing the bad rap earbud-styled 'phones get in the audiophile community, I figured they would be all...

A TRUE audiophile-quality earbud?

I have to ask: Is there such a thing as audiophile-grade earbuds? Well, in a word, yes. After some research, I found that Sennheiser makes earbuds that are worthy of an audiophile\'s attention. After I purchased their MX-660\'s which were...

I've purchased dozens of of phones as gifts and for myself the past ten years. These cans have cost between 40 and 200 dollars. These MX 880's are the best so far. Great ear well fit-very low distortion, wide range sound-high sensitivity. They're...
