Sennheiser MX W1

Sennheiser's MX W1 earphones use Kleer wireless audio technology, blows away Bluetooth stereo, and cost a fortune.

Outstanding audio performance. Excellent wireless transmission. Well-packaged, good-looking components.

Prohibitively expensive. Low-end can suffer depending on the listener's ear shape.

The MX W1 earphones would have fared better on our rating scale if its price weren't sky-high. But we do appreciate that Sennheiser is incorporating Kleer's wireless audio technologywhich is vastly superior to Bluetoothinto a high-quality product.

Sennheiser MX W1 Headphones Review - Intro

The Sennheiser MX W1 headphones are a set of wireless in-ears. They are the first pair of wireless in-ears we've reviewed. Since they use wireless technology, don't expect the best audio quality: sound has to be compressed in order to stream from your...

Wireless connectivity frees you from the strict constraints of cords. Portable. Lots of power adapters

Not particularly comfortable, not many customization options

The MX W1s seem to be more of a tech demo than an actual consumer item. It's the first marriage of Sennheiser and Kleer's wireless technology, and honestly, we can't see someone dropping $500 on these things. Not only do they look silly at best, but...

Sennheiser MX W1

The MX W1 headphones are a set of wireless in-ears from Sennheiser that are currently available for about $500. As a general rule, wireless technology means poor audio quality (the audio has to be compressed for wireless transferral); in-ear headphones...

Sennheiser MXW1

The chord-less MXW1 earphones transmit uncompressed audio over a robust 2.4GHz digital link to a transmitter that fits on your MP3 player with multi-receiver capabilities. It also has a dynamic transducer system and neodymium magnets to aid the audio,...

Cutting-edge wireless sound quality, and cheaper than hiring a band of musical leprechauns to follow you around, playing your favourite tunes on tiny fiddles… but only just. Sennheiser MXW1 is tagged with Sennheiser and headphones. Select a tag...

BEST WIRELESS HEADPHONES ON THE PLANET

The sound quality is fantastic. Playing 128 kb mps3 through to loss less on the ipod, the sound is just excellent. No wires makes such a difference. Well constructed and a good fit for the ears. Only problem is that the transmitter cannot fit in my...

Excellent sound quality, well made. Comfortable fit. Easy to use.

No carry case for the transmitter. Not cheap. Comedy value for other passengers on the train..
