Sennheiser PXC 450 NoiseGard 2.0

Sennheiser as a company, has been around for years, and is definitely not a novice in making high-end headphones. If there are a pair of headphones you can compare the PXC-450 with then it would be Bose's QuietComfort 3. However, the PXC-450 outruns...

I have had a lot of people come to me relating after sales service stories of products like these, and I can only sympathize since it's a lot of money you will be shelling out for this. So I got a company spokesperson to say this, "The original...

Sennheiser PXC 450

Meet the Sennheiser PXC 450s, a set of mid-range active noise-cancelling over-ears that are not only super-comfortable, but block out a decent amount of outside noise. While they may not appeal to the most discerning audiophiles, they will absolutely...

The PXC 450s are a decent set of cans.

The Sennheiser PXC 450s are an all-around, decent set of active noise-cancelers.

At the end of the day, the PXC 450s are a decent set of cans.

Sennheiser PXC 450 Noise-Canceling Bluetooth headphones

The freedom of wireless on your longest journeys

Superb quality transmitted over Bluetooth. Complete noise-cancellation. These headphones are comfortable to wear

The headphones are on the large side, bordering on massive, which means they are a bit hard to carry around

The awesome PXC 450 returns with Bluetooth connectivity. Now you can enjoy superior quality Bluetooth streaming from your PXC 450 BT headphone set.

Sennheiser PXC 450

If you spend a lot of time traveling solo, this headset would make a perfect new companion. These noise-canceling headphones are perfect for listening to music or audio books in noisy environments such as airplanes and train stations. We also...

The Talkthrough feature lets you pause the music and active noise canceling without turning off the headphones

These noise-canceling headphones are bulkier than most of the other products we reviewed

The Sennheiser PXC 450 headphones are durable and provide the best audio experience of any other noise-canceling headsets.

With $799 you can buy a lot of things. It can get you 2663 soft serve MacDonald's ice cream cones for example, or 53 movie tickets. It also happens to...

Great clarity, crisp sound, nice mid and treble ranges, great noise cancelling

Bass is a little weak, expensive

Offering the best noise cancelling out of any pair of headphones we've heard, Sennheiser's PXC450 offer a great choice for frequent travellers; just make sure you can charge the hefty cost back to your company.

Sennheiser PXC450 review

Enjoy the quiet life with Sennheiser's latest noise-cancelling headphones

In passive mode, sound is genuinely hi-fi ; NoiseGard’ cancelling of unwanted background noise is very significant

Hiss level is not inaudible ; Some coloration in the midrange ; Require an extension cable for home use

Sennheiser guns for Bose in the battle of the first-class cabin, noise-cancelling headphone market. Can it shoot down the high-end baron?

Better than Bose's QuietComforts, despite the pointless TalkThrough feature. You pay for the privilege though

Sennheiser PXC 450 headphones review

Fantastic headphones with the best noise cancelling we've heard, but at a price. Audio quality is superb and the build quality will withstand the strains of constant use. If you're a frequent traveller who demands the highest audio quality, don't miss...

Sound quality ; Noise-cancellation ; Fold-flat design ; Included hard case ; TalkThrough feature

Price ; Dance fans may want more bass ; Noise-cancelling bypass switch instead of automatic cut-out

But travellers will see the PXC 450s as superb high-end headphones. Exceptional audio quality, combined with effective noise-cancellation and a pocketable design make them perfect for the frequent flyer -- although given the price, they're more likely...

Product Specifications

The PXC 450 is a circumaural high-end travel headphone set with NoiseGard 2.0 technology and TalkThrough function for the best possible attenuation of ambient noise. The PXC 450 enables an unprecedented sound experience for people on the move, thanks to its adaptive baffle damping in combination with the patented Duofol diaphragms, which prevent unwanted partial oscillation and thus guarantee a highly natural, lifelike sound quality. Users of a PXC 450 who wish to communicate with their neighbors can do so without taking off the headphones: when the TalkThrough function is activated, professional quality microphones mounted on the outside of the headphones pick up all acoustic signals in the immediate vicinity. Unwanted background noise, such as the sound of the engines on a plane, is filtered out electronically to a great extent, so that only the neighbor's voice is passed on through the headphones into the user's ear in top audio quality. The PXC 450 is foldable. Volume control integrated in the headphones and a single-sided detachable and replaceable cable ensure maximum convenience for the user.
