Shure SE315 (Black)

Shure has been churning out impressive-sounding in-ear headphones for consumers for more than 15 years, and any new models from the company have featured mainly evolutionary changes from their predecessors. The latest update to the Shure consumer line...

The Shure SE315 earphones offer an exceptionally durable design. The package includes useful extras such as a case and the Shure Fit Kit.

The Shure SE315 earphones don't offer great sound quality across the board considering the price point. Getting a good fit takes effort, and these may not be comfortable for all people.

The Shure SE315 Sound Isolating Earphones offer an exceptionally durable design, but you can find better-sounding sets for about half the price.

Featuring single High-Definition MicroDrivers, the SE315 delivers full range sound and optimized low-end performance utilizing a vented driver. Shure's latest also features detachable cables for easy replacement and customization.

"Great sound and Shure durability"

Overall a great contender under the $200 range. I completely do not agree with the reviewer comparing these with the S4. I have owned 3 S4's in the past (bad cable quality) and I can tell you that those have a V-Shaped sound signature. Completely...

Pronounced Mids

Slightly lacking in low regions

"Great sound, very tough"

The first month or so I would have agreed with the reviewer, kind of thin and hollow sound at first. I was coming from the se210's and thought I knew how to fit foam buds and over the ear. I didn't even realize I didn't have a good fit since I thought...

Great soundstage

picky on fit

"Some good, some neutral....."

I purchased these as much for the durability as the Shure sound quality. I got what I expected and find myself smiling at the SQ while listening to many different styles of music through these. I have had better sounding buds for a little less money,...

The sound quality is very crisp all around, and after fooling with the fit and installing aftermarket tips it became deep and rich while retaining clarity. Not the amount of base I got from a pair of Klipsch buds for about half the price, but also did not

The SE315's are very picky about thier placement. If one gets tweeked a little in the ear canal the bottom end drops out of the sound. This happens a little to easily for my liking even with a good fit attained through the right size and style tips.

"Great Headphones, but depends how you use them"

These are outstanding headphones if you want to wear them on an airplane, or otherwise use casually. However, I bought these to use for my monitor mix for live performances (I'm a drummer), and they just don't cut it. Before I bought them, I searched...

Quality build, love the detachable cord.

Not good enough to be used as an in-ear monitor!

"Amazing Earphones That Are Well Worth the Price!"

I, like the other reviewer thus far, hold these earphones in much higher regard than the CNET reviewer. I have also tried the Klipsch S4's and completely disagree about them being, in any way, superior to the SE315's. If anything, their mid's and low's...

Durable, detachable cables, amazing sound, awesome build quality, sound gets better over time.

Some may not like the "over the ear" wire design.

"These earphones have gorgeous sound and very durable."

While they may be more expensive and of similar sound quality to other earphones of ~120ish, I have found Shure's warranty and their new cable promises to definitely be held. My old shure 310's died 4 months ago, so I bought on CNET's review the...

The durability is great with these, especially because of the replaceable cable. Sound is amazing. I can hear only my music at my mp3 players lowest volume. No doubt worth the price.

Kinda expensive, but definitely worth it.
