Shure SE530 Earphones

It's a well-known fact that earphones bundled with MP3 players (yes, even the iPod) look and sound plasticky, and anyone serious about music should consider replacing them. The device I'm reviewing today is meant for those who do not believe in audio...

So here you are; a true high-end pair of earphones for the serious audiophile. The cost? A mere Rs 30,000. The sound is no doubt right up there with the best, and one of the most refined I have heard, but the price still comes as a shocker. I could...

Shure SE530PTH Earphones

For the price of one set of Shure's SE530PTH earphones, you could buy two 30GB iPods, 17 sets of Apple earbuds, or 500 encrypted songs from iTunes. A worthy investment or Marie Antoinette–style consumption?

Push to Hear is an ingenious alternative to poppin' your earbuds out every three minutes.  Plus they have great sound

500 is a lot of money for a pair of earphones

Every link in the audio chain is crucial to delivering a great audio experience, but we draw a (dotted) line at spending twice as much on your earphones as you do your MP3 player. So, no Kick Ass for you, Shure.

Shure SE530 Headphones Review - Intro

The SE530s are at the high end of Shure's in-ear options. Like other Shure in-ears, the SE530s come with a variety of extras, such as eight different sets of sleeves, an optional volume control, and an optional remote and mic. The S530s have a modular...

The SE530s are a good, if pricy, set of in-ears. They come with the most boxed-in extras we've seen to date, and have solid audio quality across the board. The headphones are also great for those whose headphones always seem to break. The headphones...

Shure SE530

When a company creates a product that's sufficiently remarkable to garner a spot among CNET's testing equipment, chances are that's a good place to look for further quality products. Such is the case with Shure , whose E4c earbuds quickly become our...

The Shure SE530 headphones offer exceptional clarity; deep, tight bass; rich, enveloping sound; and great noise isolation. They are also comfortable and include some useful extras such as an in-line volume control and an airplane adapter.

The Shure SE530s are expensive, and the earbuds are on the large side.

Travel-happy audiophiles will be infinitely pleased with the Shure SE530s, but these earbuds should also be a consideration for anyone who has half a grand to drop on some sweet headphones.

Shure SE530

Shure's SE530 in-ear headphones are their high-end offering of the series. Like similar models in the line, the SE530s have a modular cord, meaning the cord truncates at the point where the left and right channels' cables meet. This design is to allow...

For the uninitiated, the Shure SE530s' follow their series' design, in which the cable actually comes out of the top of the ear buds. This means, to have the ear buds oriented properly, you have to wrap their cords up and around the back of your ears....

Today we will take a look at a set of In ear headphones which have been receiving critical acclaim since they were released. Are these rather expensive phones set to redefine expectations of in ear entertainment?

Shure SE530 Review

A lot has been written about Shure's current flagship in-ear phone already, but of course that doesn't stop us from reviewing them. Maybe we just add a bit more to the confusion surrounding them, seeing how the SE530 are either loved or hated by...

The Shure SE530 are a slightly contradictory mix of features and qualities. Some of their strong points are usually found in dynamic driver earphones, not in balanced armature ones: good sound at low volume, good sound with dense orchestral works, good...

Review: Shure SE530PTH Earphones

Not long ago, I was talking with some folks on one of the many sites I frequent, when someone asked what were the best earphones available. I discussed some of the models which I have reviewed, and then one of the other members mentioned the Shure...

I thoroughly read all of the literature which Shure sent me with these earphones. They made a lot of bold claims relating to the "pure sounds" and "optimal listening environment". In fact, Shure even refers to these headphones as, "a rich, elegant...

Shure SE530

I can't quite believe that I'm sitting here using a set of earphones that have an RRP of £330. Fortunately, most retailers are selling them lower than that - £269 seems to be the best price we found. And how good can earphones get, anyway? Actually,...

Stunning sound quality

Crazy price

They may cost a small fortune but for the money you get some superb sound quality

Product Specifications

Formerly known as the E500PTH, the SE530 uses Triple TruAcoustic Micro-Speakers to create an expansive soundstage. A dedicated tweeter ensures that highs and mids are incredibly accurate and detailed, while dedicated dual woofers provide balanced, full-bodied bass.
