Skullcandy Skullcrusher Headphones Review

Skullcandy's Skullcrusher headphones come with a promise of fantastic bass, thanks to the vibrating subwoofers included with the hardware. This was so...

Though the convenience these headphones offer while out and about is rather appealing, the audio actually provided is questionable at best, making them simply not worth the money. While the higher pitches in the audio are conveyed really well, the bass...

Skullcandy Skullcrushers Headphones

The aptly named Skullcrushers from Skullcandy will stay put on your head (so said our consumer testers). Plus, the headphones are pretty comfy to wear, and come with such extras as a carrying bag, airline adapter, and battery-powered bass boost...

The subwoofer works quite well to create powerful, vibrating bass, but the overall sound quality leaves a lot to be desired.

Powerful subwoofer

Bloated distorted bass, Lack of clarity in mid range, Flimsy, Vibration can hurt your head

Skull Candy SkullCrusher Headphones

Well known to skateboarders and snow dwellers globally (none of which is in fashion here, sadly) Skullcandy products, quite literally look like candy you wear on the skull. This brand manufactures headphones (besides other headgear) inspired from pop...

At Rs. 3,469 the SkullCrusher is not so expensive, as the sweet paint jobs available will command a sum. The build quality and ergonomics are also very high quality. Bass response surely overpowers the rest, and needs to be fine tuned via the control...

Skullcandy Skullcrushers [Review]

Funky headphones with a powerful bass response

Fancy design, powerful mid-bass, excellent for movies and gaming

Weak low-end bass, amplifier is big and bulky, not comfortable for extended listening sessions

Great!

These are a good pair of headphones for someone who cares about sound quality and doesn't want ear buds. I don't know how long they'd last as my 1st identical pair broke. (fluke?) I recommend them to anyone as long as you pick another color or design....

Great sound quality and superb bass

Too much Snoop Dogg branding

Need to step it up in this price range

Well... the bass module is something else, that's for sure. It's pretty cool if you keep the bass a little lower - otherwise it will thump your brains out, could damage your hearing and give you a headache. Keep in mind that all headphones can damage...

Unique bass application. Lifetime warranty. Pretty comfortable to wear, unlike many other pairs

In-line bass module is clunky and not close enough on the wire to the user. Let us determine bass - this definitely does not sound natural. It's very muddy bass, and these headphones are not very "bright" in the upper frequencies, so there's nothing to...

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Wow!

I have a large head so I have them adjusted to the largest, and if you look at them, it looks like the plastic is going to snap. This hasn't happened yet, but my previous experience with skullcandy's headphones, (eg: TI's), the adjustable part breaks....

These headphones have a Bass amp on them, so if you're like me and love having a lot of bass for anything from gaming to music you will be impressed. You can adjust the amount of bass the amp adds. They feel heavy, but despite that they are...

The bass amp requires a single AA battery, but I don't mind it lasts quite a while if you remember to turn the amp off when you are done listening to it. The cord is flimsy; take care of it and you won't have my problem. The wire to the bass amp broke...

Excellent

Be aware these take a BATTERY, have an ON/OFF switch, and a VOLUME CONTROL. I'm not saying the other reviewer doesn't know how to work his headphones (maybe he got a bad unit, or is a troll) but if you forget to turn them on for example, the extra bass...

I use these for both an MP3 player and my XPS M1730 (gaming laptop). These have insane bass, end of story. As a matter of fact, I rarely have the volume at 50% because it's almost too much for my ears. Build quality is good, fit is great, and they come...

I purchased them at another store (retail) before I discovered the Egg about six months back. Paid too much
