Skullcandy SLYR Gaming Headset Review

Multisystem support, Comes with everything you will need, Three different color options, Mic tucks away flush, Easy to use mixing dongle, Sturdy design

Must draw extra power from USB which creates constant static noise, Component pass, through doesn’t seem to work, Mic is only muted via dongle, not from stow away position, Mic is not removable and can only be adjusted vertically, Can become...

Great Quality Until Defect

Had the headset for maybe 12 hours and the mixer attachment stopped working, thus cutting all sound and mic options to my headset. I still could plug in the headset directly to the 3mm port but could only talk or listen. Well whats the point in having...

Great sound, amazing clarity, booming bass (seriously pick a song that has intense bass and you'll feel your hair stand on end), mixer attachment is pretty awesome (while it lasted), SUPER comfortable and lastly the mic doesn't make me sound like I...

Feels cheap and flimsy.

Better for a Console Gaming System

DO NOT ALLOW KIDS ACCESS TO THIS HEADSET! After about two months of use, my kids got to it and it took a trip down the stairs. This ten stair drop caused the speaker in the left ear to detach and stop functioning.

Crystal clear sound, Light weight, Very long cord, Overall very nice product.

Cord length is a little excessive for a PC application, it would be a lot better if used on a gaming console. Other than that non really.

Headphones

1. Amazing sound coming with 3 different modes ; 2. Very good bass ; 3. Very comfortable after being worn in

1 and 1 only absolutely horrible mic. if you plan to record games with clear voice this headset isnt the one for you. i would much rather have gone with turtle beaches or astro if you have the money

Skullcandy SLYR headset

Overall an amazing headset.

The headset provides awesome sound. With three different settings, you can customize it to whatever suits you best. Worn for countless hours at a time, with no strain on my relatively large head.

for me, the cord length was extremely long. Maybe in future models they will supply with several different lengths for different types of gamers.

great sound-bad mic

I bought these to play BF3. The sound is great. It picks up all the nuances of sound from the game. The equalizer function is good too. The cord is the appropriate length.

The microphone stopped working within a week. The whole point of using a head set like this is to interact with other players on team speak. The microphone cuts in and out, and is inactive for a majority of the time.

Good Headset

I bought these looking for a mid-range priced headset that provided improved positional audio for gaming. They did not disappoint. Definitely a step up from the Logitech headset I used previously. Certainly not "competitive grade", but neither am I.

Not worth taking an egg off, but they are definitely tight out of the box. Expect to break them in a little before they're really comfortable. They are also not fully around the ear, but that might be because I have bigger ears.
