First Looks: Sony MDR-570LP Headphones

Sony's new MDR-570LP headphones might look good, but is it all style and no substance? We take a listen to find out.

At S$69, the Sony MDR-570LP doesn't aspire to greatness, but it has thus far been rather disappointing. Although MDR-570LP looks good from far, it gradually reveals its shortcomings as you approach closer. This is further exacerbated by its...

Sony MDR-570LP review

Comfortable on-ear headphones which may suit if you don't like the in-ear type

Very comfortable ; good all-rounders

A touch too laid back

If you are looking for comfortable, portable, on-ear headphones these are fine all-rounders

Sony MDR-570LP review

If you're after a pair of great sounding on-ears at a bargain price, look no further. With decent bass, bags of detail and a musical balance that embarrasses more expensive designs, they're better than they have any right to be. And they look great, too.

Decent sound quality for the price but the uncomfortable headband means they’re best avoided.

Deciding how much to fork out for headphones has always been something that is a very touchy subject – is it worth spending lots of money on good quality headphones when they have a tendency to be broken or lost very easily, or should you just settle...

In case you hadn’t already caught on I was very impressed with the Sony MDR-570LP headphones and in fact would put them up as one of the best products (for the price) that I have seen in a while. A bold claim I know, but they do exactly what you expect...

Great for general away from home use

These headphones are extremely stylish and versatile. I use them for pretty much everything except for gaming and vinyl. Really good high frequency response, poor bass end response. Good natural noise cancellation. Comfortable for general use, but...

Excludes outside noises.Exceptional value.

Bit hot, but cannot have it both ways. Puts pressure on ears but it is unavoidable.
