Sony MDR-710LP review

Sony MDR-710LP portable headphones Sony offers a broad assortment of well-designed, high-performance headphones ranging from full-size studio monitors such as the MDR-V700DJ all the way down to Fontopia-series earbuds, such as the MDR-EX71SL . At CES...

The Sony MDR-710LP has a convenient and comfortable collapsible design, includes a hard carrying case, and it delivers tight, punchy bass.

The Sony MDR-710LP's 4-foot cord is too short for nonportable applications. Moreover, its treble and midrange frequencies have a more skeletal timbre than those of some 'phones.

Bass addicts on tight budgets will appreciate Sony's MDR-710LP portable, collapsible headphones, but audiophiles should consider a warmer-sounding set.

Sony's MDR-710LP collapsible headphones offer a comfortable and stylish design, as well as an enticing price tag. If you're looking to replace the stock earbuds that came with your MP3 player, be sure to read this review.

So Far So good

I was planning on buying cheaper.. but in the place where I was shopping, it was the only choice which was both compact and Hi-Fi. So far I am satisfied with the purchase at the price which is listed here.

Compact. Case is neat, and sturdy. Headphones seem soundly constructed. Sounds pretty good. Plenty of volume

Cord should be 2m in stead of 1.5 ; They make a lot of turbulent noise when you are traveling through the air with them on your head... (bicycle) ; The case doesn't shut all that smooth and you have to pay attention to make sure that you don't catch...

Great Sound, Poor Design

Sound on this is awesome for your mp3 player but listening with it for long duration (2+ hours) will be an uncomfortable experience because you feel it squeezing your ears as head band is designed to collapse to become portable.
