Sony MDR-AS50G review

The quality of fit helps with audio quality too, even if these unsurprisingly can't compete with high-end audiophile models. There isn't a massive oomph to the sound, but it's warm and clear, and coped easily with the pop and gentler rock acts we threw...

Not as good as some of its rivals such as the Philips ActionFit, but another successful execution of the neckband concept. A good, secure and comfortable fit, decent sound quality and an affordable price tag.

Sony MDR-AS50G review

These earphones are designed to stay put during exercise. The drivers are fixed to the flexible neckband with rotating mounts, giving an extremely comfortable fit within the ear canal. There's a clever system to adjust the point where the cable...

Worth considering for active use but not the best choice for all-day listening.

Sony's headphones don't have the very best sound quality, but it's certainly tolerable – and they're pleasingly affordable

Sony MDR-AS50G

The Sony MDR-AS50G Ear-canal neckband sports earphones come with multiple sized earbuds, two lengths of cable and gold plug. They weigh 15g. The good Sony headphones come in two varieties – banging and extra-banging. These sports earbuds fall into the...

Speaker failure

"After a couple months of limited use the left speaker started buzzing in these headphones. I do not listen to music loudly by any means. I think it was a defect in the headphones because I started to notice the buzzing very lightly and only with some...

Amazing sound and comfort

"I have used several different earbud design headphones, and the Sony MDR-AS50G is by far superior to anything that I have used in the past. Most, if not all buds fall out eventually when you are active. Because these buds are connected to eachother by...

"I thought I would never find earbud style headphones that fit; every pair I tried before was either uncomfortable or would slide out of my ear. These are exceptional not only are the snug and comfortable they deliver excellent sound quality. I highly...
