Wireless headphones; base/stand recharges batteries; compatible with Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro-Logic II, and DTS signals; built-in volume control.

Audible hiss during quiet music or movie scenes.

Sony's entry-level wireless, surround-sound headphones are an attractive option for late-night movie watchers who don't want to wake the neighbors.

Watch movies late at night without waking the neighbors!

These headphones provide good sound quality. Compatible with Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro-Logic II and DTS surround sound. Quick integration with your home theater system

There is an annoying hiss during quiet phases. You will have to use analog connectors for DVD audio

Almost junk

For the price you would think they would work with out any static.I purchased this for my inlaws who just bought a plasma TV and there is so much static it is unuseable. I am using the headphone at home with a tube TV pluged into my panasonic digital...

Infrared instead of RF. Easy set up. Recharable batteries and base. 1/8 mini jack to mini audio cable included

No Audio mini plug cables included. Sound is ok lacks bass ; Constant low static sound.Dose not work with Plasma TV's

Great for HDTV & DVD's

It took some experimentation with my PC's sound drivers to get it sounding good and obtain proper lip sync. The time that you invest is well worth the effort.

Genuine surround sound in a headphone--beats regular headphones by a large margin when viewing HDTV or DVD's on your PC. Batteries are nimh and last a long time

As others have mentioned, there is a baseline hiss but it isn't noticeable when something is playing. It's a pain to get the pins for recharging the headset to line up on the base

Hissing is annoying

These wireless headphones are a two-edged sword--it's great not having a cord attached to them, but I suspect that the hissing is due to the infrared transmitter and is therefore a big tradeoff. I tried a pair of these a couple of years ago and...

Support for DTS and Dolby Digital, and they're wireless

Annoying baseline hissing/static, even when close up and directly in front of transmitter, that is almost always noticeable, especially during relatively quiet movie scenes or mellow music
