These have a slightly muffled quality, i.e. not crisp sounding in the treble range, making them adequate for audiobooks and other text readings, but not good for music.

For the price you can't complain. I bought these at my local electronic store new for ten bucks. I knew that when purchasing these ,that they were not top of the line. Sony makes great products ,as far as sound quality on these headphones they are ok....

Great Buds for the price, Sony so you know the quality your going to get. Second pair of these headphones I own never dissapointed in the sound quality or fit.

Most of the "cheap" headphones I've bought only lasted me a couple months, but these have worked great for over two years. The sound is good and usually can't be heard by people around you. The buds also fit very comfortably in your ears.
