Sony MDREX36V EX (Black)

The Sony MDR-EX36V headphones are an obvious step up from stock buds in both comfort and sound quality, and the price is a bargain. The headphones come with handy accessories like a cable wrap, travel pouch, and inline volume control. They offer deep...

The Sony MDR-EX36V headphones suffer from a cheap, plastic design; a thin, tangle-prone cable; and a brittle high-end response.

The Sony MDR-EX36V Stereo Headphones are a good budget-friendly option for anyone who wants to upgrade from the earbuds that come packaged with MP3 players.

"Decent Headphones"

I was excited when I lost these so I could replace them. I like headphones that naturally trend towards lower tones. The listening experience without the treble reduced was reminiscent of sitting to close to the high hat symbol in high school band :P

Super comfortable, Generally good sound, Useful in-line remote

Too much treble. I had to set my iPod/iPhone to treble reducer to ensure that all of the really high frequencies that resulted in a sharp tinny sound weren't coming through.

"Affordable, that's about it"

I bought these to use when exercising. The earpiece kept popping out even when just walking. Loudness is also pretty poor. Even when both my ipod volume and the headphone volume was maxed, the music was still pretty quiet.

Price was right.

Volume sux.

"Great headphones for price."

Great headphones for listening to music on, but not the most durable headphones on the market. They sound good and they are comfortable over hours of listening.

Good bass for ear buds. They still sound good when played at higher volumes. When playing music, sound doesn't bleed out so no one else hears them. Sound isolation is great when listening to music.

Cheap cord and housing.

"Affordable quality sound"

For the price these are probably one of the best sub $50 pair of headphones i owned.

Good bass, good sound quality

Tremble lacking. Volume control is pointless

"Great sound for the size, but major durability issue."

While great in the sound department, its not ...

Sounds were above average on my iphone. It's nice to have the volume switch on the headphones. They were also comfortable while listening to music

I didn't like the chord. For a Sony product, major disappointment. I actually broke them within a week of owning them. The chord was pulled a little less than hard and it fell apart

"Best sub-$20 I've EVER used!"

Great sound quality for the l-o! The come wit...

GREAT SOUND QUALITY! I wanted something very chill that picked up the bass, and these buds do a great job of doing that. I also love the volume switch on the cord, come in handy

none yet/ so far so good

"Great Sound, NO Durability."

I used these headphones for about 6mos and was very sad when they slowly deteriorated.... it started when the bottom half of the wire got exposed a little whenever it pulled out of the volume control in the middle of the cable. Simple fix was to open...

Sound quality is great. I was very satisfied with the bass, natural noise cancellation and the additional features you wouldn't expect on a pair of headphones at this price.
