These headphones do not properly catch the mid-range all the times. The cords are not adequately long. Plus, the carry case looks nice but they may not be practical in many use situations

Excellent quality product

I've owned a few Sony in-ear headphones and had nothing but positive experiences with all of them. I was able to find these new on Amazon in January for $70 and the sound quality/clarity alone justify the cost. The brushed aluminum is a nice touch also...

I still love it!!

I got this Sony MDR-EX500LPfrom Amazon over a year ago. At the time, they cost me around $150, and I was very happy with its performance, and still. The price now dropped significantly, which make it of a very good value.

Beautiful sound

Beautiful rich sound, and surprisingly comfortable. I own several different sets of buds and the 500s are by far the richest sounding set I've ever used. The only complaint I have is that the cords on all Sonys are a bit flimsy.

These Sony ear-buds have very nice, crisp and clear sound. The bass response is quite goood. If you are looking for great sound for a portable music player, this would work great. The fact that they fit snug, helps eliminate noise as well.

The key technology is the closed-type, vertical in-the-ear 13.5mm driver unit, which allows for a larger driver with substantial sound while maintaining a comfortable fit over a long period of time. Offering crisp audio for the perceptive ear, these earbuds boast a newly developed multi-layer diaphragm which provides high-resolution sound and recognizes clear vocal, while keeping fair bass. In addition to being sound tuned by hand, these EX premium earbuds are constructed with metal to minimize vibration. The hybrid silicone earbuds consist of two kinds of silicone to help block noise by creating a close seal with the ear.
