Sony MDR-EX81LP/B earcup-style headphones Review and Prices

The Sony MDR-EX81LP/B headphones are a departure from the typical earbuds so common these days. The MDR-EX81LP/B are an in-the-ear design, meaning that the small cupped drivers are designed to fit gently into the tip of the ear canal. This eliminates a...

Not bad

These were my first canal earphones, I liked them at first but then tried more expensive ones and noticed the difference

I don't know if it's just me, but mine broke when i had them in my back pack. Keep them in the box that came with them

Reasonable sound for the price.

I guess these are 'baby boomer buds' as they seem to be tailored toward those who have middle aged loss of high and low frequency hearing sensitivity. They don't have full freq response like Future Sonics, Shure or some other buds but they don't cost...

Stays in ear during activity, reasonable sound quality for intended use and price, bud fit is tight and comfortable, easy to put on even with 'over the ear' hook arrangement, tight low end without using special ear canal seals

Wires too thin and fragile, the non-adjustable lopsided approach Sony uses with the wire design at the phones end is aggravating, frequency response a bit too attenuated in mids and high mids

Way below my expectation

This is the first product i bought from Newegg that i actually requested RMA. I really like its look tho.

Style~ This earphone simply looks COOL

Well.. I Bought this for multiple purpose. Used it on my mp3 player, notebook computer, and used it on my electronic guitar. The performance just doesn't seem to differ from the ipod ear phone i have. My ipod ear phone actaully sounds louder~ I had to...

SONY MDR-EX81LP/B 3.5mm Connector Canal Earphones

The packaging does mention that incorrect fitment can result in poor audio quality. When worn correctly, there is an ear plug effect that muffles any outside noises.

The audio from these is unbelievable compared to other ear buds. Bass sounds like it's coming from a subwoofer and the highs are very crisp. I was amazed the first time I used these! I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for high-quality...

Treble frequencies can be ear-piercing at times. For people who don't like having foreign objects in their ears, these are not for you

Earbuds... OF THE FUTURE!!

These were a gift for my Dad-dad Daddyo's birthday, but I sorely wish they were mine...

They rock

They don't reproduce asexually. Or at all

Don't waste your money

none really

surrounding is made out of rubber ; and they will not stay in your ear. When you turn, they fall out. Better off sticking to the ten buck dark blue sonys from wallmart that go over the ear

SONY MDR-EX81LP/W 3.5mm Gold-plated Connector Earbud Stereo Earphones

Cord is more plasticky giving it more resistance from tearing. Comes with two different carrying cases: a small one that prevents loss of ear pieces, and a travel case.Good value if you like canal headphones. Don't buy if you can't stand foreign object...

Quite durable, especially the cord. Also they have decent responsiveness in both highs and lows for the price.Ear loops are effective, even if over sized, at keeping them in your ears. Also seal out a good amount of noise, allowing for lower listening...

No problems so far

Below expectations

I got these for my iAUDIO U3 player, thinking it would be an upgrade. But the stock earphones are far better, better crispness on the treble, better richness on the bass. Plus, I'm using this for exercising, and unless these earbuds are pushed far...

Newegg rocks, got it here quick

Sound is not good

Consumer review (newegg.com)

good but not perfect

wonderful sound quailty for 30$ and the earbuds stay in nicly and come in different sizes

But the loops that go over your ears are huge and are way to big to be practical
