Affordable. Compact, collapsible design. Decent noise cancellation. Enjoyable audio performance with solid bass performance.

Takes a standard AAA battery instead of a rechargeable cell. Battery pack is in the middle of the headphone cable.

Though not as effective in eliminating ambient noise as more expensive sets from Bose and Sennheiser, the MDR-NC40 delivers quality audio performance and noise cancellation that's impressive considering its $100 price tag.

good for the price

This headphones are decent. Sound quality is good, not great. It would be better if the maximum volume was a bit higher. It is not very durable. However, for the price, it is fine. Overall value is good.This product has... poor durability

Real nice product, it's a very good option considerating the value and the quality that you are going to have. It really doesnt cancel very much noise i think not the 90% promoted, but 80% or 85%.

Good overall, could use some power boost

I bought these at Best Buy for way more than they sell at Amazon - I had a BB gift card and there was nothing else I wanted. Had them for over 3 years and they still look like new. They are not the best noise canceling headphones, nor are they the best...
