MDR-Q55SL A.I.R. Elements of Style Headphones

I've been using these headphones since 2004 when I bought an iRiver iFP-799 player and ditched the headphones the player came with, and I swear by them. I dig the fact that it clips on my ear so it stays in all kinds of conditions, especially when I go...

Quality sounds; good bass; comfortable clip-ons that stay put

No replacement ear buds; extension cord too long; main cord too short

These headphones are the worst purchase I've ever made.

I love the cable

Uncomfortable. Awful leakage. Poor sound (during normal use)

These headphones are great if you are looking for small, inexpensive headphones with good quality. However they are hard to get them to stay on. Also, the cord legnth can be annoying because the only way it's long enough is with the extension, which...

Great sound, espicially the base compact size

Have a tendency to flap around, cord legnth annoying

Sony MDR-Q55SL SLD

I am currently looking to purchase a second pair of headphones to supplement my current Sony MDR-828LP earbuds ... Which are still going strong for over a few years now!

Sharp looking design. Sound quality better than most I've tried ... very good bass response

Rattling noise in LEFT earpiece (see cause & fix below). The "behind the ear" clips definitely not designed for a HUMAN ear. What, no carry case

Bass is well above average although not perfect, treble and midtones above average. These produce a much better and clearer sound than most mini-component systems with emphasis on the right parts

Sony's design here is pretty useless. Despite looking good, they are uncomfortable to wear and after taking 2 minutes to get these on, they slip off very easily even while sitting

These things are some of the coolest lookin headphones ever. That's what made me wanna buy them. When they stay in you ears, the sound is great, bass is good and doesn't overpower the acoustics and treble.

Look sexy, affordable, good sound all around

Cords are way too much of a hassle, don't stay put on your ear
