Incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

These blow away all of the headphones listed below in my humble opinion.BUT you must have a powerful TUBE headphone amp for these and it better be capable of at least 2 watts or your not going to appreciate 1\/2 of what these amazingly clean cans can do

I own the Grado GS-1000 with silver upgraded silver wire...the SENNHEISER HD-650 with silver upgrade...the Sennheiser HD-280 with silver upgrade and have done this shootout against the SONY MDR-SA5000 using the prototype George Wright WHA-22 headphone...

REMEMBER I BOUGHT 'MDR SA3000' They are a step down but if you look at Sony's website you'll see there is only cosmetic differences and slightly AND I MEAN SLIGHTLY range differences. This was a TERRIFIC buy for me. JUST REMEMBER TO BREAK THEM IN!!

These are very dynamic sounding phones, and while their voicing is on the bright side, they offer a lot of detail, deep tuneful bass, and are not harsh. Like any premium headphone, they benefit from being used with high-quality dedicated headphone...
