Sony MDR V55

The Sony MDR-V55 stereo headphones provide you with superior sound response while giving you style and function. Read how they compare to similar headsets.

These headphones fold for easy storage, and the swivel earcups make it easy to listen with just one ear

They do not come with a storage bag, and the cord is relatively short

The Sony MDR-V55 stereo headphones provide exceptional sound and are perfect for personal music players and beginning DJs.

Sony MDR-V55 headphones review

Thanks largely to a certain brand of celebrity endorsed headphones, wearing proper headphones in the street is now socially acceptable. The Sony MDR-V55 offer themselves up as "DJ style" so, as Sony puts it, you can take your tracks to the street.

Flexible, comfortable, sound great

Leak sound, cable a little short

Flexible, affordable and looking good, the Sony V55 adds good sound quality to the mix too. Not ideal for mobile users, but offers great performance for bass lovers.

DJ headphones with bassy sound that won't offend the audio purists. Much.

Bags o' fun sound ; Decent looks ; Powerful bass ; Decent clarity

Not very comfortable ; Creaky plastic frame

Works like a champ

The one glaring oversight of this set of headphones is that although the plastic appears to be high-quality and feels nice, the hinges have a tendency to be on the squeaky side of things. I have read similar reviews that support this same problem. If...

Sound is clear, and accurate ; Very portable, folds up nicely, perfect to carry in a backpack ; Competes with headphones at a higher price point ; Tangle-free cord ; Sounds and looks the same as the day I bought it ; Easy to adjust to fit, plenty of...

Uncomfortable for long sessions of listening ; Major issue is addressed below

Like NEW Refurbished

Great pair of quality DJ styled headphones. A true DJ style headphone like this pair has rotating ear cups, Strong solid build, and a sound stage tuned for the type of music. Headband has a metal core and a nice Sony logo on the headband. The little...

Lasted long enough

What a great product, but after about 4years, the fabric on the headset started to break down and fall apart in my ears. Too bad, since the headphones still work, but it's the same price to replace the fabric as it is to get a new set.

Great quality, portability, build

Fabric on headset deteriorated

Fantastic headphones!

One of the best headphone purchases I've made in a long time. They are comfortable when you sit them right and they also fold up and get quite compact. The sound range is very, very good. The bass is strong, but not over powering. The highs are crisp...

Very balanced, comfortable and great range of highs, mids and lows

Headphones that have swag!

If you want to get good headphones that are good quality and not cheap, then these are the ones for you. When I first started looking for headphones I looked for beats, but you can get better headphones way cheaper. The MDR-V55 by Sony come in many...
