Sony MDR-XB300

If you haven't heard, there's a new trend in inexpensive earphones and headphones: Pile on the bass. Sony's new XB line features affordable in-ear and headphone models, and the MDR-XB300 ($49.99 list) is an alluring option for anyone on a tight budget...

Affordable. Extremely deep bass response. Comfortable ear cushions. Lightweight, despite size

Tinny and nasally highs

Audiophiles, steer clear; bass lovers, rejoicethis Sony pair isn't accurate, but it's affordable, and it covers subwoofer frequencies with powerful response.

Fantastic headphones

Beautiful pair, especially for the price. Very deep bass and above average sound quality and range. The comfort level is amazing - I sometimes forget that I have them on due to softness and lightness. Combined with an equalizer and a good sound card,...

Good Headphones

They're not perfect. Really bass heavy. They're really big and ugly in my opinion. After a half hour or so of gaming or listening to music, your ears feel squished and it hurts. Been using these every day walking to school and using on computer for...

Ok, let me state that I am NOT the person to write reviews; but these headphones are a special exception. My mother bought me these headphones 4 & a half years ago as a random Christmas gift, I absolutely LOVE the bass and the fact that your ears...

Quality Headphones

I use the occasionally when I go on long plane trips. These headphones took awhile to break into. I was comparing these to the XB500s and these are a good size for quality sound and portability. The cord is kind of long but you can always coil it up....

Lots of bass and not much else

I was attracted to these headphones after being disappointed many times by headphones that had no bottom end. Sony is a good brand and the price was right. The headphones are comfortable and stylish. The bass is out of this world! I even hooked them up...

Dr. Dre's Got Nothin' on Sony!!

I was looking for a pair of over the ear head phones that were just as good as Dr. Dre's or Bose... and I definitely found them. These are super comfortable and the sound quality is incredible. The bass sounds great. The best part though: I only paid...

Good, better than expected, I am writing this review more than 2 years after I got the headphones... these headphones are very good, in quality, but as a regular complain with all headhones, they don't feel comfortable too long
