Functional, but outdated

When this product came out, it could turn any N or S series Sony PDA into an MP3 player. Now much smaller, and higher capacity mp3 devices are available, with much longer battery life than the old sony pda's could muster. Pass on this item, even if...

The selection of headphones on offer has never been bigger and there are plenty of options to choose from, ranging from high-end cans such as the Bose AE2 to quality earbuds like the Monster Diddybeats, to affordable headphones like the SA-500...

Good price, slick design, decent audio, non-tangle wire

Can be uncomfortable for long-term listening

A great pair of headphones offering good audio and impressive bass along with a handy tangle-free cable. More comfortable than they look, although not for more than a couple of hours listening time

RHA SA-500 review

When it comes to earphones, you typically have to pay quite a lot for a decent pair of over-ear cans. Coming in at just £34.99, the RHA SA-500 buck this trend by offering great value for earphones that cover the whole ear.

Overall though, the SA-500s are stylish, well made and possess good audio quality. And for just £34.99 they are a bit of a bargain. You would be hard-pressed to find better earphones on the market at this price.

Wow!

Fantastic headphones - excellent bass, mids and treble. Cups are smaller than you'd think from picture, but they're really comfy. These wipe the floor of the Denons I previously had.

Buy these headphones

They are really good. I have been listening to Glen Brown Termination Dub for 20 years and heard it for the first time the other night through these headphones. Would highly recommend their earbuds as well.

Amazing sound for the money

I own a set of RHA's SA-850 which are FANTASTIC. These are about £15 cheaper so I was doubtful if they'd be great. But, after hearing my girlfriend's Urbanears Platan headphones I thought they must be better, the Urbanears were dreadful.
