Sony S2 Sports Headphones

Lightweight and compact sports design; secure, comfortable fit; collapsible headband; decent sound quality.

No carrying case; dual-cord design more prone to tangles.

The MDR-A35G headphones are ideal for active pursuits, such as jogging.

"Fantastic Buy"

I've had these for 9 YEARS, spent 20 bucks on them, and they still work great. I wish that the speaker covers could come off, my ears tend to get a bit waxy and it gets into the pinholes in the speaker covers, and that degrades the sound a bit. To...

Good sound, great bass, can get loud.

Highs could be higher, wish the speaker covers came off so you could clean them.

I only wear mine for treadmill running and they are great. Had them for 3 years. They'll last if you collapse them down and wrap the cord lightly. I also wipe them down after every use and have had no problem with sweat damage. People might complain...

Collapsable, decent sound, durable, size easily, and no ear pain from the buds. Cord is even on both sides

Cord seems a bit heavy, but manageable if you just clip it in your iPod belt clip holder

The sound quality, fit, and comfort out weigh the life span. Over all well worth every penny .

Great fit, stays in the ear, EZ to put on and take off, EZ to pack away into a pocket.Perfect sound better than those $100 Bose ear buds. Very quiet outside the ear pieces when playing loud music, Works with I-Phone for stereo phoe conversations

They die rapidly. Average live span has been 4 -6 months of daily use

I would say that the quality of these headphones are between the quality of the MDR-J10 (the non-sport Sony earclip headphones...like $10) and the quality of $5 buds.

Adjustable, Good fit, Pretty good sound

Unable to share the music with others, sound was lower in quality than expected

I had this model for a while and by all measures it is a great product. I like the adjustable, small form factor. However, during an 8k run the sound came on and off then eventually stopped because of sweat infiltration....there are no pads and sweat...

Stays on and great sound

Too fragile and prone to sound on and off if sweaty

I've had the folding and non-folding sets. The folding set is very brittle and the plastic can snap easily when stuffing them into your gym bag. The non-folding are much more sturdy and not as brittle. However, I've gone through 3 sets in the past year...

Great sound, good design for running

Not robust or sturdy

"Gone through 3 sets less than 9 months"

I have had other sony headphones that have lasted years, these things are junk. If you buy, get the extended warranty, because you will be bringing them back.

Great fit, good sound & comfortable

after 2 months one of the earbuds will lose sound

"Not for all-around use if you really care about music"

I got them as workout phones for my ipod, and tested them against the ones which came with the ipod. I don't know what the other reviewers are comparing the bass reproduction with, but it's lacking. Treble's pretty good, though. The volume is also...

They stay on tightly and you never have to adjust them, don't tangle too badly, nice fold up feature.

Mediocre sound

"Good bang for the buck"

I've tried different kinds: earbuds, muff-style, neckband, and find these the best overall design for active use. They're lightweight, fold compactly, sound much better than the cheapie ones, but don't cost a day's pay. I'd really like a one-wire set...

slim, lightweight, pleasing sound

wish they didn't have white streaks--the skunk look
