Sony WF-SP700N wireless headphones review

Extremely comfortable ; Clear sound with potent bass response ; Sweat-proof

Battery 40 percent less than competition ; Poor noise-canceling

The WF-SP700N are comfortable, well-functioning fully wireless in-ears, but short battery life and an oversized design keeps them off our list.

Sony WF-SP700N

Sony's WF-SP700N true wireless earphones are a rare misstep from a company that typically has much higher standards.

Secure in-ear fit. Solid noise cancellation for the price.

Poor audio performance. Short battery life. Low IP rating for gym-focused earphones.

Obviously, the fairly solid noise cancellation is rendered insignificant by the WF-SP700N's poor audio performance. With zero hyperbole, I can name 30 pairs of wireless—and some true wireless—in-ears that sound far better than this, and most of them...

Sony’s sporty wireless earbuds bring the bass but not battery life

For the bass heads

Powerful, rumbling bass that’s ideal for workout playlists ; Sturdy, secure fit ; IPX4 water and sweat resistant

Case is way too big ; Worst-in-class battery life ; Useless for watching videos ; Audio dropouts are still a thing

Mediocre battery life, a bad case, and other frustrations limit the appeal

Sony's latest truly wireless earphones are its best yet

The sporty WF-SP700N's battery life isn't so great, but it performs and fits well.

Fits comfortably and securely and sounds good for truly wireless headphones. Built-in noise cancelling helps muffle ambient sound. An included charging case delivers two additional charges.

Battery life is only OK at 3 hours. It's a little awkward to get the earbuds into their charging case. Some audio delay when using certain streaming video apps.

Despite some small downsides, the Sony WF-SP700N is one of the better truly wireless headphones currently available.

Sony WF-SP700N True Wireless Noise-Cancelling Earphones review

Sony's second-gen true wireless earphones make improvements, but not enough

Comfortable fit ; Sweat-resistant ; More bass...

Clarity could be better ; Poor noise-cancellation ; ...too much bass

Sony’s WF-SP700N are a middling pair of true wireless headphones. They’re lacking in clarity and in noise-cancellation prowess, but at least they’re comfortably to wear for extended periods and don’t fall out easily. While these are a decent sophomore...

Comfortable, good sound and intuitive

Very easy to use. Clean sound. Quick to charge, though battery in pods does not last that long. Feel robust for size.

Very good product! Here are some items to improve;

Works well - I have spent hours enjoying these already. The phone speaker only feeds one ear though, which is a shame as it would be better to hear my darling mother in stereo! The noise-cancelling is good - but could also be improved. When it's windy...
