SteelSeries Arctis 7 wireless gaming headset review

Sleek, lightweight design ; Flexible, collapsible, crystal-clear mic ; Excellent sound quality ; DTS Headphone:X virtual surround ; Works with any gaming system

Software and virtual 7.1 only available on PC

This Arctic 7 is by far the best choice for wireless PC headsets, and one of the best overall gaming headsets, period. While using it on a console narrows its functionality, it still outperforms most console headsets, while its comfort, style, and...

SteelSeries Arctis 7 review: This wireless headset provides incredible comfort

SteelSeries improves on the floating headband and also makes a play for the "affordable wireless" market with its latest Arctis 7 line.

Comfortable, sleek, and stylish ; Very inexpensive for wireless audio ; Built-in chatmix controls

Headset might not fit the largest of large heads ; Mute button is a bit too small and inconspicuous ; Audio quality is solidly middle-of-the-road

Steelseries Arctis 7 Wireless Gaming Headset

The Steelseries Arctis 7 wireless gaming headset combines solid audio quality, flexible connection options, and a comfortable fit at a reasonable price.

Balanced sound. Functions both wireless and wired. Customizable with different headbands and earpads.

Bass isn't particularly powerful.

The Steelseries Arctis 7 is an excellent wireless gaming headset for an impressive price. At $150, it comes in under the Logitech G933 Artemis, the Astro Gaming A50, and even the Skullcandy PLYR 1, all while offering very good audio performance across...

The SteelSeries Arctis 7 2019 Edition Wireless are gaming headphones with a long 25-hour battery life. They're the next generation of the SteelSeries Arctis 7 Wi...

Comfortable and stable. Great mic performance even in noisy environments. Great companion software with many customization options. Excellent continuous battery life.

May be less comfortable for people with bigger ears or heads. Not extremely breathable. Slightly bulky design. Inconsistent audio delivery. Poor noise isolation performance. High non-Bluetooth audio latency.

The SteelSeries Arctis 7 are decent for neutral sound. Their bass and treble delivery depend on their fit, seal, and positioning on your head. It's possible to get closer to a more neutral sound profile if you take the time to adjust their headband a...

Great companion software with graphic EQ and presets. Low latency for wireless gaming and video streaming. Impressive retractable microphone. Well-built, durable design.

Bass and treble delivery varies significantly across users. Sensitive to glasses. Can have a tight fit for some users. Poor noise isolation.

The SteelSeries Arctis 7 Wireless 2017 are okay for mixed usage. While they're comfortable and their boom microphone is retractable, they aren't suited for commuting or offices as they barely reduce background noise and they don't support Bluetooth....

SteelSeries Arctis 7 review: Gaming headphones with great sound, great features

Keep reading this SteelSeries Arctis 7 review to see why this gaming headset easily earns a Techaeris Top Pick for 2017.

Great design, with really good sound and loads of features. The ski-goggle headband and Airweave earcups are incredibly comfortable even for long gaming sessions. The overall design is one that can easily be worn outside of game time too.

The volume dials took a bit of getting used to so I wouldn't hit them every time I put on or took off the headphones.

If you’re looking for a pair of gaming headphones that are great not only for gaming but will fit nicely outside of your game time, give the SteelSeries Arctis 7 a look. They’ve been out of stock pretty frequently, but that just reaffirms what I’ve...

SteelSeries Arctis 7 Review: The Complete Package

Considering that wireless headsets can run hundreds of dollars, and PC-centric ones often leave out important features like 3.5mm jacks, it's refreshing that the Arctis 7 offers the complete package for only $50 more than its wired counterpart. While...

Great sound ; Comfortable fit ; Reasonable price ; Seamless wireless

Fine-tuning music takes some work ; Roundabout phone and speaker functionality

The SteelSeries Arctis 7 sets the standard for what a wireless gaming headset should be: functional, versatile and practical.
