Only works intermittently. Unacceptable.

I would return these, but the shipping costs make it pointless.

None, sorry

I bought two of these, and they both exhibit the same problem- sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. I tried different ide drives and different sata ports on my motherboard- same problem ; About $20 and several hours wasted troubleshooting

Perfect!!!

This is what you need if you have older IDE drives you are trying to make use of.

I bought two of these to go with two of these ; Refurbished: WD Caviar WD1600AABB-56PUA0 160GB 7200 RPM 2MB Cache IDE Ultra ATA100 / ATA-6 3.5" Internal Hard Drive ; I needed some cheaper drives for my grandsons' desktop. This is a homework computer,...

works great

it does what it says it does, changes an IDE out to SATA, I needed this so I could use my IDE hard drive with my new mobo

Didn't work the first time I installed it, but I tried it again a few days later and it worked, so, yeah

fantastic product, works great

This is a simple interface board that works!!!! I would recommend this board to anyone that has IDE/PATA devices and wants to convert them to the faster SATA format. I spent extensive hours researching this type of interface. SYBA's warranty and...

Simple really, you disconnect your A/C power from the computer. You "carefully" plug the board onto the back of you IDE/PATA device ; NOTE:****(use a plastic shield between the board and the device. I cut a 1" by 2" rectangle out of a gallon water jug....

NOTE:****You WILL have to obtain a "MALE Molex to FEMALE floppy drive berg connector" to get this unit to work. You can either contact SYBA at ; support-us@syba.com Phone: (909) 548-7738 to work through the problem ; You can also choose to purchase a...

Flaws , all easy to fix.

i used to run lots of SCSI drives and with the wide 80pin connectors. I had to convert them to the normal standard with an adaptor that looks just like the above. the same problem with hitting metal and shorting happend then. the fix was the same. a...

nice chip, used on many devices , including external HDD to sata HDD enclosures, (I have 3) ; i give it 5 stars because it works and is very useful ; I don't mind , buying a real floppy adaptor at all. if needed ; all my systems PSU have one, new or...

3 flaws ( 2 really) ; 1: the floppy power connector on the molex side is the wrong gender (female not male) as reported ; 2: many early mobo, M2N for example will not scan for SATA 1 ; not anyone's fault here ! or this device but is and issue ; 3: The...

Does not work every time

Web page says this is a Syba brand... mine looks just like the picture but the package says 'I/O Crest'. Probably exactly the same item. Trusting the other reviewers I hoped it might work, but saw that it does not always for everyone. I tried to get a...

Other reviewers say it worked for their application. It is cheap

It did not work for mine. No documentation / instructions. ** only marked down to 2 eggs since it was a cheap experiment and I knew from the other reviews that it might not work. If it had been $20 + shipping with an expectation to always work, I would...

It works

I've only used this product for connecting IDE DVD drives to SATA connectors. I have done no tests when it comes to throughput speed of attached ATA 133 IDE hard drives. Be careful to check whether you have enough power connectors from your internal...

It works. It is designed to attach IDE devices to motherboards which only have SATA hookups. I like the fact that the indicator LEDs on the back show you that the device is on

However, the errors in what they included with the product in the packaging make me really wonder about the SYBA brand. They seem to know that they're selling is factory seconds. The included SATA cable did not function (and come on, it's hard to mess...

after reading reviews from other, apparenty this item does what it is supposed to. I was looking specifically for an adapter that would alllow me to attach a S-ATA hard drive to a logic board that uses IDE. I am giving this product 5 eggs only because...
