phones were apparently defective on arrival. audio was cutting out and scratchy. a wiggle of the wire leads made the sound improve or cut off completely. 3.5mm plug should be a 45-degree angle instead if straight. will get an exchange and give it...

Great quality sound - poorly made.

 

I purchased a pair from my local Morrisons (at double the cost I hasten to add - my bad!) and this was three days ago. I didnt expect miracles, just a stop gap until I had a few extra quid to buy some Shures. I was actually blown away with the quality...
