Turtle Beach Ear Force X51

The Ear Force X51s are real surround-sound headphones, with front, rear, and low-frequency drivers in each earpiece. They also have a removable microphone for interactive gaming and Internet telephony. The surround sound actually works with a 5.1 sound...

Get a nice pair of Sens

I forced myself to buy 5.1 headsets because I had convinced myself it would be soooo much better. This is my second pair of 5.1's and I have to say getting a nice quality set of Sens or something and using emulation on your card would be a MUCH more...

Price isnt bad... Removable Boom Mic.. Not uncomfortable to wear

5.1 is VERY buggy in games.. I have tried both onboard sound and my xtrememusic card.. there are many instances where u are in a game and you cant hear anything.. such as looking slightly in one direction can make it so you cant hear the gunshots...

Pretty Good Headset

Overall this is a nice headset, it has great directional sound for gamming, decent sound for music and are quality made. Howere they are uncomfortable for long periods of use so keep that in mind before you buy them.

Excellent 5.1 sound, i use them for gamming and it really helps to know where things are comming from. They dont feel cheap like other headsets ive used, quality build that you wont feel like your going to break

I think i have average size ears and they dont quite cover mine, which wouldnt really be a problem except that the headban clamps down over your head and after awhile it makes my ears sore. They are fine for short use but if your going to be using them...

Great Gaming

If the speaker cups were bigger with a little softer padding they would fit and sound a little better. The larger cup would also help with acustics of the sub drivers in the headset, or maybe a port would help. All in all they are great for gaming, and...

The 5.1 Does work well you just need to adjust it just like you would a 5.1 surround set of speakers. The mic picks up great. The cord is not made cheaply and is plenty long. Execllent mid to high frequency response

The headphones need to be a tad bigger in terms of cup size. They dont exactly cover your ears causeing a little discomfort. Listening to music and movies can be a little lacking due to poor bass response

uh...... NO

Why pay for 5.1 when it stereo still sounds better. Sent these back because of mic and bought an Audio FX headset, WHICH IS WAY BETTER!

Sound ok on stereo sound, but 5.1 sucks. Quality not bad, but not great either

5.1 rear and center channel are signficantly quieter then the left and channel, probably because the speakers are half the size. I have an audigy2 and even with every adjustment made, the 5.1 just doesn't work. Stereo sounds MUCH better. THEY HURT. MIC...

Bad construction

I sat on them on accident and it broke into pieces. These would be excellent if each ear piece did not have 3 joints/hinges involved and the plastic were a higher quality more flexible material.

Pretty good sound quality. The surround sound feature is noticeable and helpful in some games like counterstrike

Flimsy construction! There are too many moving parts and pieces. Way too much opportunity for failure

Okay Headset

These are good for the price. Good in game sound, although the front-center channel sounds like it's above you rather than in front of you. My only gripe is how uncomfortable they are. I just ordered some iCEMAT Siberias today and I hope they will be...

Good for gaming ; VERY durable ; Long cord ; Good mic

Very uncomfortable for me. Starts to hurt the top of my head and my ears after about 30-45 minutes ; Cord gets tangled easily

Product ok Support bad

You will break the cord, and it will take you a couple weeks (plus I still not gotten statisfaction from their support department

Reasonable price, ok comfort, nice features, good sound, I was not expecting great sound on headphones, and I must have tougher ears then the average bear because they only start to get to me after 2 hours wearing glasses 4 or more with contact lenses

Flimsy connector, the surround sound cable is a two part cable, with the volume control for the different channels on the distal end (Closest to computer) This is possibly the cheapest device ever conceived, I wish it did not exist really, there is no...

Turtle Beach TBS-1110-01 Circumaural Ear Force X-51 5.1 Surround Sound Headset

My first pair of 5.1's were Kinyos, and I gotta say bang for the buck the Kinyo 5.1's are the better buy. I highly recommend the Kin-yo's over these ...

Good for the price, nice little gaming headphones. Microphone detaches which is nice to tuck it away and not be bothered with when not needed. Works fine and as expected

I totally understand how these are uncomfotable for many. Personally I wear headphones hours everyday so these do not bother me as far as comfort. Sound quality is just what you pay for. Not quite as crisp as I hoped for, but overall these have served...
