Turtle Beach Ear Force W3 review: Turtle Beach Ear Force W3

Everybody's trying to get a piece of the Nintendo Wii . More and more new products are trying to become Wii -centric, framing themselves as vital accessories for Nintendo's system. Even if the product's relation to video games is tenuous at best,...

Wireless stereo headphones; decent audio quality; easy to set up; passthrough audio connectors.

Not particularly comfortable for long listening sessions; don't expect audiophile sound quality.

The Turtle Beach Ear Force W3 headphones offer decent wireless audio for a low price.

Turtle Beach Ear Force Z2 Review

Headsets and online gaming have always had a special relationship. Headsets give you hands-free communication and in-game audio all in one package, making them ideal for people who are on a budget, can't be too loud, or can't afford a full speaker...

Good build quality ; Good sound quality ; Solid appearance ; Fairly comfortable ; In-line controls are easy to use

Ear-piece fabric is a little too rough ; Slightly lacking in bass ; Slightly strong in high-mid tones

After just under a week of use, I can honestly say that the Ear Force Z2 is one of the more solid stereo gaming headsets I've ever used. Physically, they do not feel cheap, and I am sure these could survive the heavy beating of LAN parties and everyday...

Turtle Beach Earforce W3 Review

Console gaming accessories get another update as the Earforce W3s enter the marketplace delivering wireless audio to the masses for the Nintendo Wii.

For the design quality of the W3, I would have to say that for the average gamer this is quite a functional set, giving players the ability to have an affordable solution that gives solid sound without eating batteries and having a wide band of...

Turtle Beach Ear Force W3 Wii Wireless Headset

Since December of 2006, the Nintendo Wii has taken the world by storm. Just a few short months later, the Wii has already overtaken the Xbox360 in worldwide sales, also leaving the PS3 in its dust. So, it is no surprise that peripherals aimed at Wii...

The Ear Force W3 headphones are a fun pair of headphones for a fun console. Whether you are living at home and the 'rents aren't cutting you any slack after curfew, or just a kid at heart playing after hours, the W3 headphones will let you get your...

Turtle Beach Ear Force W3 Review

There are times in a gamer's life when the urge to get some gaming done doesn't jibe well with environmental circumstances, particularly a necessity t...

In moments of good connections the sound quality of the Ear Force W3s was good, but such moments were few and far between. We must conclude that Turtle Beach's decision to go with an infrared wireless connection was not wise, especially in the case of...

Decent sound but horrible construction

I'm using these because my wife got them for me when my last headset broke (ironically in the same place, different brand of headset though). Because I love her, I'm going to use these until they kick the bucket completely. But seriously, Turtle Beach...

Sound quality is fairly good. They are comfortable. Battery life is quite long.

The plastic arm that connects the ear portion to the head portion was cracking and broke. The other side is doing the same thing. The construction quality of these almost seem like they were meant to break after a while. The headset will spam you with...

Not Wireless.

Most of the headset functionality is there.

The automatic shutoff forces you to use it as a wired headset. After a few support tickets with the manufacturer I can be sure they will never fix this issue! It is supposed to detect sound from the game and cancel the shutoff but it just doesn't pick...
