Urbanears Plattan Plus (Purple)

The $60 Urbanears Plattan Plus headphones are an Apple Store exclusive and appear nearly identical to the original Plattan model , but with an added remote control on the wire and Urbanears' unique ZoundPlug that lets a friend attach another pair of...

The Urbanears Plattan Plus are a budget-friendly pair of over-ear headphones available in a variety of colors to match your style, and they sound pretty good, too.

A deep bump in the lower sonic spectrum gives electronic and hip-hop tracks an audible muddiness.

The Urbanears Plattan Plus earphones offer equal parts style and substance for less than Apple's aftermarket earbuds, and we recommend them for casual listeners and fashionistas alike.

Urbanears Plattan (Olive)

The Urbanears Plattan headphones are inexpensive and come in a vast array of color options. They're also compact and stylish, and will work with music phones thanks to an integrated mic and call answer button.

The Plattan headphones aren't terribly comfortable and overall audio quality is muddy.

The Urbanears Plattan headphones are all about style, which unfortunately doesn't leave much room for great sound in this case. Beware of mushy bass, nasally mids, and an absence of clarity.

Urbanears Plattan Headphones

Could there be any other headphones more hip than these Urbanears Plattan headphones? I didn't think so. The Urbanears Plattan headphones come in a slew of single tone colors and a simplistic design. Urbanears made sure to make your favorite colored...

The Urbanears Plattan headphones sound good for their price and do a good job delivering an overall clear and non-muddy sound. The only music genre I believed these cannot handle very well is rock music. The Plattan cannot handle rock music very well...

Urbanears Plattan Headphones Review

Urbanears is a company known for highly fashionable, yet affordable headphones and earphones geared for a younger, more tech-fashion crowd. One look at their products and you can tell these guys have a design esthetic that exhibits clean, almost...

Powerful bass ; Extra AUX for sharing ; Build quality

Weak highs and muddy mids on some recordings ; Not comfortable on larger heads

Urbanears Plattan headphones review

Urbanears products are almost ridiculously minimalistic in their design, but they come across as extremely hip. Anyone who appreciates how the plain white Apple earplugs stand out in public knows exactly what I mean.

Light and comfortable to use ; Appealing, hip design ; Features standard to Urbanears (remote/mic, fabric cable, etc.)

A bit lacking on the high freqs because of the strong mids ; Can easily get dirty because of the matte plastic and fabric elements ; Not enough sound isolation

All in all, given the implications of every factor mentioned in this review, this pair of headphones are really for those people who want to make a visual statement (what I’d like to call “the fashionable DJ look”) while getting a decent and practical...

"Great for the price with EQ tweaks."

These headphones are great for the 60$ price tag. I really like flaunting them around my school cause everyone lusts after these Beats by Dre headphones which, having used both, I can say are easily outperformed by these. These Beats users are also...

They're pretty. I got the mustard kind. They cost $60, which isn't too expensive. The bass is rich, and with some tweaks to the equalizer they sound just as good as some earphones that cost twice as much.

They are a bit uncomfortable sometimes, but not too badly. With the EQ that I use on my iPod, I could want a little bit more volume, but hey, maybe I'm going deaf.

"I have one of this and it's great!!!"

Over all, the Urbanears did his job.

I like the surround, vibe and I dunno how to explain just check it out cause I've experience listening to this Ears. ^_^

"Much better headphone than I have been reading about."

I love headphones. I have been using Beats studios lately. The Beats are great. Some others I use are Marshall Majors, Audio Tehnica, Koss Porta Pro. I listen to popular music from 1960 thru 2011. Mostly in Rock, Blues, and Jazz. The Urbanears do a...

Admirable channel seperation. Allows you to hear the recording in space and time.

no volume control on the mic.

"They work really well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

tightness on the head. a bit too much pressure. pressure should be adjustable. but it also keeps them secure/ from falling off

Consumer review by:

"Incredible Value"

Overall, I have no complaints about these headphones and really feel at the price there isn't much that will touch these, rivaling headsets that cost two to three times more, and that may or may not come with an inline remote and mic.

Sound, Comfort, Cord, Remote and Mic, Fit, Storage, and Look.

Wearing over-the-ear headphones take a little getting used to, but much easier to get used to than the pressure of in-ear headphones.
