Review: V-Moda V-80 True Blood Headphones

Audioholics takes a listen at the vampire-inspired headphones and likes what they hear.

Sometimes favorite technologies do more harm than good.

How difficult cant it possibly be to make a set of ear phones with a 3.5mm jack that does not go bad after light usage?

Not sure what pros these stupid ear phones have ; How difficult can it possibly be to make ear phones that simply work

The plug went bad on these head phones after barely 5 months of very light use ; Very much overpriced and unfortunately I'm the sucker that paid for it

Solid Sound, Very Durable.

I threw mine at a wall 10ft away and watched them bounce off 3 shelves before landing on the floor with one of the earphones dislodged. I slipped the earphone right back into the Y shaped (steel) bracket that holds them on and viola, back in business!...

Solid sound reproduction, decent passive noise reduction, great build quality, league of it's own durability. I compared these to the Sennheiser HD280 Pro. To my ear V-80 has better midbass, but less bass impact (punch). It also has a smaller...

Great Sound for Money

When compared to other well-known phones in this price (Bose OE, Monster Beats Solos) range I would still rate these on top. I would rate sound/comfort as about the same if not better than the Bose, but the durability far surpasses them. The carrying...

Great sound for only 40mm drivers. Great bass sound without distortion like so many low quality phones have. Was sick of all my headphones breaking and having terrible sound. I was originally looking into the Monster Beats Solo over-the-ears, but I was...

Although I don't believe this is a con in my book, I know that others may. These phones are fairly small and sit on the ear as opposed to around the ear. That being said they aren't the best for noise cancellation. They are comparable to the Bose OE,...
