Velodyne vPulse (Black)

Velodyne has made subwoofers for a long time -- and very good ones at that -- but has only more recently got into the headphones game with vPulse, a stylish $99 earphone that comes in black or electric blue and is equipped with an Apple-friendly inline...

The Velodyne vPulse in-ear headphones offer very good sound, highlighted by impressive bass response. They also have a distinct design and have an inline microphone/remote for Apple iOS product users.

The earphones aren't supercomfortable and may not fit everyone equally well; the inline remote will not function with most non-Apple smartphones.

While some folks may encounter come comfort issues, the Velodyne vPulse in-ear headphones offer excellent sound for the money and will particularly appeal to bass lovers.

"Unbelievably rich bass and good build quality"

Deep, skull-throbbing bass

Sometimes struggles with loud, high-pitched sounds (come out as white noise)

The best of all worlds!

I've owned many headphones over the years and typically done research on what magazines have recommended as the best choices under $100 or less. The ones I've owned have included the Ultimate Ears 500vi, the Klipsch S4, and the Shure SE215. To be...

good sound , but regret buying

Sound quality is good , probably a bit more bass heavy than I would like. They do run very loud at top volume compared to my previous earphones (Shure 215). My gripes with these are the connector and the cord. Connection to iPhone isn't snug , so a...

Defective ...

I wanted to like these. When they work, they seem to work well. But like others posted here, the ones I received were defective, producing almost no sound in the right ear bud.

Not great for walking or phone calls

The good: - Fine sound quality - Multiple earbud sizes for a snug fit - Tangle-free cord The bad: - If you brush the cord slightly, sound travels up it and into your ears. This creates a very annoying noise if you're walking anywhere. - The in-cord...

Great Bang for the BUCK with AWESOME BASS

These earphones are wonderful; probably the best bang for the buck if you enjoy clear sound and bass. I love clearly defined sound and I try out almost all earbuds due to the fact that I wear them out or I'll lose them. I have bought most everything,...

Harsh sound

Advertized as excellent bass, instead I find the upper register to B more prominent. . . to the point of harshness. So I'm disappointed. Quality build however.

vPulse are as advertised!

Bottom-line: The vPulse does what it says on the tin. These little babies pump out the bass in a way that not quite but almost drowns out the mid's and high's. That said, once they burned in and I got used to them, they're wonderful for it. My...
