Westone 1 True-Fit

In 2006, we got our hands on professional audio manufacturer Westone's only two pairs of consumer earphones--the UM1 and the UM2 --both of which received high marks for their good looks, comfortable fit, and excellent sound quality. Rather than toy...

The Westone 1 True-Fit Earphones come with a vast array of eartips to offer just about any user the most secure and comfortable fit; passive sound isolation is great; handy accessories are included in the box; the design seems durable.

The Westone 1 True-Fit Earphones don't sound as good as many other sets that cost the same or less; contoured earpieces may prove troublesome for a handful of users.

The Westone 1 True-Fit Earphones are very comfortable and durable, but the sound quality doesn't quite match up to the price tag.

"Top Notch single balanced armature canal monitors."

Not sure how this IEM got such a so-so review by CNET. I've had a number of IEM's although mostly cheaper models. Given how good these isolate sound and how they sound I can only imagine what the Westone 2's or 3's sound like. WIth my price point and...

Balanced sound, surprising base is present with a good seal. A lot of options for inserts and I can't imagine someone can't find the right fit given the plethora of inserts in the package. Very comfortable fitting and very easy to drive.

The cord could use a wire for forming around the ear. Early evaluation is not as impressive with harder rock on the lower end sounding a bit bland.

"Who reviewed these?"

Really, I am not sure who reviewed these but these are one the top quality products in this price range. Period.

These are the better sounding earphones in this price range.

The included foam plugs do not provide as good a seal as the hard plastic ones.
