Westone 2 True-Fit

For most listeners, $100 or less can provide a great-sounding set of earbuds to use with a portable audio device. But the more discerning you are, the lighter your wallet needs to get. Unless you count yourself among the pickiest of audiophiles,...

The Westone 2 True-Fit Earphones offer fantastic sound quality, useful accessories, and a durable design.

The Westone 2 earphones are expensive, and the earpieces may not be comfortable for everyone.

The Westone 2 True-Fit Earphones offer great sound and features for the money; those who find triple-driver earbuds too large for their ears should take heed.

Westone UM2 (Clear)

The design of the Westone UM2 earphones is excellent overall, so we'll start with our one gripe: The earpieces are at least double the size (about 0.75 by 0.75 inch) of any other earbud we've used, so if your outer ear is small, expect them to stick...

The Westone UM2 earphones sound fantastic across all categories of music, and the included foam ear tips are comfortable and fit securely. The cord is the perfect length.

The expensive Westone UM2's earpieces are larger than the average competitor's. The earphones also lack some accessories, such as a quarter-inch adapter and a volume attenuator, which similarly priced competitors offer.

The Westone UM2's larger-than-average earpieces won't appeal to all users, but audiophiles won't be disappointed with the earphones' stellar sound quality.

Westone UM2 Earphones

With a price of around $300 you can expect quite some performance from the Westone UM2 Earphones. They are designed as in-ear-monitors and feature two high-end drivers aimed at people that are not willing to accept compromise.

Dual-driver solution, Excellent fit, Superb comfort, Bass and midbass performance, Balanced mids, 50" cable, Copes well with microphonics, Well suited sound signature for most music genres, Sound stage, Open sound, Well worth the price, Detailed sound,...

Pricey

The Westone UM2s strike me as being a good and thoroughly thought out design. Considering the price of nearly $300 these earphones are only suited for audiophiles and perhaps musicians that crave high quality. I think that the Westone UM2s are worth...

"Possibly the sweet spot of the market."

As I bought mine three years ago, I am not sure if there has been any changes to the internal parts. One thing is sure, I have no problem realizing that there is no "overemphasized bass" other owners complain of. In fact, I found that my Zune produces...

(1) Remarkably comfortable in its class (wearing it for several hours is not a problem)

Cons come from the design

"Excellent Earphones."

Where did I buy mine?

- Secure Fit

- Too expensive.

"Great headphones for monitoring or portable sound"

I've owned these headphones for over 4 years and I still enjoy them. They aren't as good as a pair of high-quality cans (I don't think any in-ear-monitor can compete in that regard) but for portable sound are very good. The sound stage is only decent,...

Low microphonicproper length cord.

Poor case design, my wrist strap has fallen apart and pouch had to be re-glued

"The earphones are a little pricey for the quality......"

They sound awesome but the construction SUCKS....I've sent mine back for warranty work already and they are just shy of 3 months old.....they were cutting out on the left side and I'm sure it has a lot to do with the flimsy wiring and the cheap...

The earbuds sound amazing....they have a great response to lower end frequencies....the dual drivers with built in passive crossover is a real treat. No distortion whatsoever !!

The cables on the UM2's are extremely flimsy..the foam tips are made up of an odd type of foam..very comfortable but I found that the foam pulls away from the black centre holders that the buds slip over.. The woggle that holds the wires together SUK

"Sonically, one of the best in-ear headphones!"

If you can afford these, get them. They are the perfect mix of accurate sound quality, portability, comfort... everything! I wouldn't throw away your full-cans (although you might...) until you try them. Sonically, they are perfect - I can hear...

Extremely accurate! Great bass-response. At times, can be very dark which I do like. Mids and high are so precise and clean - I can hear pretty much everything in a song. Most comfortable headphones I have ever tried.

If I had to pick on the sound, the highs could be a little stronger. Nothing an equalizer can't fix. Wires get tangled quite easily. A bit expensive.
