Yamaha PRO 300

Recently, Yamaha released its PRO line of headphones; the PRO 300, at $199.95 (direct), is the entry-level offering. Its glossy plastic design is spare, but logo-focused, not unlike the bass-heavy Beats by Dr. Dre lineup, although the PRO 300's audio...

Clean, balanced frequency response with no distortion at top volumes. Reproduces deep bass accurately, without serious boosting. Built-in iOS device controls and microphone for calls

Can be quite uncomfortable over long listening sessions, particularly if you wear glasses

The Yamaha PRO 300 headphone pair offers a tempered, balanced audio performance for these bass-boosted times, but it could be a lot more comfortable.

Yamaha HPH-Pro300

The Yamaha HPH-Pro300 headphones deliver very good sound for virtually all genres of music at plenty high levels and with convenient iPod control.

First class sound quality ; Very good bass ; Useful iPod etc inline control ; Capable of high output levels

May be a touch too tight for comfort for some listeners

The Yamaha HPH-Pro300 headphones deliver very good sound for virtually all genres of music at plenty high levels and with convenient iPod control. We just wish that they didn't squeeze our head quite so tightly
