The Altec Lansing BackBeat 906 stereo Bluetooth headphones provide an open, detailed sound, excellent call quality, and a flexible, lightweight fit
The thick behind-the-neck cable and ear-hugging design may be uncomfortable to some users and the open nature of the earpiece sacrifices some sonic range compared with a sealed design
The Altec Lansing BackBeat 906 is a ruggedly-constructed, thoughtfully conceived, and sonically impressive stereo Bluetooth headset, but the one-size-fits-all design may disappoint some users.

When I first donned Altec Lansing's $130 (as of March 22, 2009) BackBeat headphones, I couldn't get them to sit comfortably. The earbuds are attached to wide ear hooks that come down over the top of your ears. The buds sport a beak-shaped eartip, ...
Great-sounding calls Bluetooth adapter for iPods and MP3 players
Pricey Cumbersome to fit, depending on your ear size
The buttons were well laid out and supereasy to reach: Phone controls are on the left earpiece, music controls are on the right, and the volume and track shuttle controls are tucked away at the back of the right earpiece

Niall gets into the groove with Altec Lansing's BackBeat 906 stereo Bluetooth headset.
Had similar issue of the headset not turning on and not charging like other people commented about. I called Altec's tech support and they explained how to reset the headset. You simply hold the the power button down as you plug in the usb charger...thats...
1. Good sound along w/ good multi function ; 2. Range from transmitter is very good ; 3. Bluetooth Mic works very well
1. A little heavy on the ears after wearing for a couple of hours
My iPhone 3G doesn't fully support AVRCP and this is annoying. Only the play/pause functions work but once again, this isn't the fault of the 906's. For the money, I'm extremely happy with these headphones.
Good sound. Good range. Good phone headset implementation. Decent battery life. Paired with my iPhone 3G and MacBook Pro effortlessly
BT is flakey but this really isn't the fault of the Backbeat 906's
If you haven't figured that out yet be aware that the band that connects the left and right earphone parts is VERY flexible--it's not hard as I imagined it would be when I bought these headphones--makes the fit lose and installation of the headphones into...
Bluetooth ; Has Adapter for Bluetoothless MP3 players
BOBs behind ears when you walk (haven't tried running with them yet but I imagine it would get worse)--it is a little annoying and I am considering giving these headphones away as a gift because of that and read on ; The "turn on" "turn off" is VERY intui...
