Altec Lansing BackBeat 906

The Altec Lansing BackBeat 906 stereo Bluetooth headphones provide an open, detailed sound, excellent call quality, and a flexible, lightweight fit.

The thick behind-the-neck cable and ear-hugging design may be uncomfortable to some users and the open nature of the earpiece sacrifices some sonic range compared with a sealed design.

The Altec Lansing BackBeat 906 is a ruggedly-constructed, thoughtfully conceived, and sonically impressive stereo Bluetooth headset, but the one-size-fits-all design may disappoint some users.

Altec Lansing BackBeat 906 Bluetooth Headset - HardwareZone.com

Altec Lansing's BackBeat 906 is the company's latest attempt at creating a Bluetooth headset that can handle voice calls and music with equal aplomb.

"Good sound while letting the outside in."

I've used the Altec 906 with my Blackberry Storm for almost three years and now with my HTC Rezound rather than the Beats that came with the Rezound. I would rather put up with the lack of natural base of the Altec over the hip hop muddy base of the...

"Altech Back beat is a great deal"

Over all I thought this was a great buy for the money. Plantronic (now Altech Lansing) has a reputation for putting out a quality product. I lost the first pair and was so satisfied, Im springing for my secound.

Great bass responds when paired with the headphone tips that seal the ear canal. I found a pair and with a little cutting sized it just right.

Wearing glasses or shades makes the fit feel weird

Consumer review by:

"Wouldnt work and warranty not honoured."

Dont bother.

none. The product is rubbish, and the company wont back it up.

Save your money, put up with a wire until they come up with a better option.

"Fantastic functionality, not so great fit."

I got these earphones as a gift and immediately discovered the fit was less than ideal. The shanks that attach the over the ear part to the earbuds do adjust but even contracted down to the smallest size they go, they were still too low in my ear and...

Fantastic functionality! Pauses/restarts bluetooth ipod with one touch with no additional equipment. Cell phone calls clearer on this device than on many high end single ear bluetooth headsets I've used. LONG battery life! 7-8 hours at least.

A little buggy. It locked me out once and I had to let it's battery completely die (7 days) before I could reboot it. Biggest con is the fit. Slightly adustable, but not made for small or women's ears. Earbuds NOT fitted. Easily dislodged.

"What can I say, I like them!"

I've had these for over a year and wear them almost every day. Maybe my expectations a to low but I love them! I use the bluetooth dongle with my PC at work, my Palm TX, my PC at home, and any place else I need to listen to audio. Don't get me wrong,...

Good audio quality

Odd habit of getting "lost" and requiring hard re-set

Consumer review by:

"Nice idea, poor execution"

After reading several glowing reviews of these, I purchased them and I am quite disappointed. The worst part of these is the fit. It takes forever to get them on in a comfortable position and you constantly have to re-adjust them if you are moving at...

Decent sound quality, bluetooth fob for non bluetooth audio devices, dual charging head so you can charge headset and fob at the same time, decent battery life

Terrible fit, sometimes tinny and static sound

"Don't recommend to use durring sporting activities"

Good product if you do not sweat

Great product if you stay away from moisture avtivities

not moisture resistant, although it does say so on the disclamer

"One size doesnt fit all, signal issues"

I was relly happy to finally have a bluetooth headset that i can use during workout and while driving rental cars with really good sound and clear/low noise voice transmission everything looked perfect for first day.
