Astro A40Headphone

Meet the Astro A40s, a high-end headset that is compatible with just about everything under the sun with a headphone jack. While they are quite pricy, you definitely get what you pay for, as the A40s are a well-performing, solid headset with a dizzying...

Very comfortable ; Angled drivers ; Solid design

Cumbersome cord

Certainly impressive, certainly expensive.

Astro A40 Wireless System

Without a doubt, the latest and most popular trend in gaming accessories has to be the wireless headset. If comments on our most recent reviews are any indication, our readers are obsessed with finding the best-sounding headset for the lowest price. Of...

Great 5.1 to 7.1 surround simulation; fairly easy to set up; comfortable and lightweight headset; wireless audio transmission; completely adjustable/removable boom mic; customizable volume levels; optical in/out; can work with any headphones

Pricey; not exactly fully wireless; some items sold separately; no direct solution for multiple console connections

While a bit pricey, the Astro A40 Wireless System is easily one of the best virtual surround-sound gaming headset systems we've ever tested.

Frag Freely Without Waking the Neighbors

If you frequent LAN parties, or an ill-tempered roommate / significant other/ downstairs neighbor disapproves of muzzle fire thundering from your speakers at 4

Comfort, for multiple head and hair sizes. Clear voice quality is a plus for smack-talking. Connectivity options to complement most setups

PC gamers won’t mind, but wireless La-Z-Boy warriors probably don’t want to be tethered to their audio system. Add every component up and you've got an expensive setup on your hands

Very comfortable.; Angled drivers.; Solid design

Cumbersome cord

At the end of the day, what you get with the Astro A40s is certainly very impressive, if you’re looking for a headset that can work with just about anything you can play games on. While it is very pricy compared to some of the lower-end headsets, you...

Astro A40 Gaming Headset and MixAmp Review

Astro Studios is famous among console gamers even if you don't know why. It designed the XBOX 360, but can a bunch of design gurus put together a team to build a gaming headset that is worth $250? We have learned that looking cool and sounding great...

We spent three weeks with Astro's A40 Gaming Headset and MixAmp products and had a very good overall experience. We like that a gamer can buy Astro Gaming's complete A40 system and use it on the PS3, XBox 360, and PC.

Astro A40 Audio System

If you play online games and the Xbox 360 as much I do, hell as much as most of the staff here on XboxAddict.com. A decent pair of headphones is a crucial element for communicating online with your allies, and ultimately to have the best online gaming...

Astro A40

The fact that the ASTRO A40 is an award-winner and the officially licensed PC gaming headset of the MLG says a lot. However, nothing compares to actually using one. The audio is superior to most other headsets in the same price range, and the design is...

ASTRO listens to their pro players and has been continuously adding requested features

The mic is very sensitive, so you'll need to be careful not to overpower your listeners

This is a well-designed PC gaming headset and is highly recommended by professional gamers.

The Astro A40 Headset combines audiophile-grade sound and crystal-clear voice communication with the most user-configurable headset on the planet. In addition to the A40 Headset's removable speaker tags, you'll find a completely user-configurable microphone boom. It attaches to either side - or removes completely for solo gaming and music sessions. The A40 Headset comes with a quick-disconnect cable and multiple ends: an A40 MixAmp cable, and a standard dual-jack PC connector with in-line volume and mute control.
