Astro Gaming A50 Wireless Headset

Astro Gaming's A50 Wireless Headset is one of the more expensive gaming headsets you can buy, but with its excellent audio quality, comfortable wire-free design, and compatibility with PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3, it's our Editors' Choice.

Excellent sound quality. Comfortable

Expensive. Slightly awkward control placement

A50 Audio System review: Astro Gaming's latest wireless headset (mostly) pwns in 7.1

Alright, so you've been successfully pwning n00bz in Battlefield and Call of Duty, but lately you've decided your rig could benefit from one of those

Superb fit and finish ; Impressive sound quality and noise isolation ; Painless setup

Non-removable battery lasts about six hours ; Needs gamepad-to-headset chat cable on Xbox

Despite a few niggles, Astro's A50 stands as one of the best gaming headsets on the market.

Astro Gaming A50

Many users think that for $300, the headphones should be more reliable than they are. Others, however, think their great sound makes them worth the price for serious gamers. These types of compatibility, reliability and support issues give us pause,...

Astro A50 Wireless Gaming Headset

Astro Gaming makes some of the best Dolby surround-sound headphones on the market — but unlike other big names in the field, it doesn't produce new cans often. The A40 headset ( OXM score: 9.0) came out in 2008; their slightly cheaper offering, the A30...

Finally! An Astro headset that’s almost completely free of cords!, + Warm, buttery audio; clear Xbox Live chat; very good battery life

So, who’s betting on 2016 for an Astro A60 headset

Astro A50 Multi-Format Wireless Gaming Headset Review

This headset sounds amazing, looks fantastic and performed beyond our expectations., Wireless tech is hit and miss, but the A50 never missed a beat, never crackled, never faded away and has a 30ft range., The base unit and stand are lightweight, small...

The £250 price tag is more than justifiable given their performance, but this maybe a bit too high for many to take a chance on trying out the headset, those looking for the next best thing should look at the wired A40 which are a little less expensive...

The Astro A50 has blown my mind this week, I was expecting it to be nothing more that the A40 with the wires cut and on the surface, perhaps it is exactly that, but my overall experience of the headset was so much more than that of the A40 and it’s the...

Good product, terrible support

Essentially a really solid purchase for people who will not be using this extensively. But if you're not using it extensively, why spend the money?

Amazing quality. Not much else to say, for sitting back watching a movie or listening to music they're great. Even if you're a gamer who plays a bit with friends, they're incredible

First of all, the cord is just ridiculously short. This is so people are convinced to buy their $7.99 cord which is a bit more of a reasonable length. If you have a micro usb cord laying around, not an issue, just poor customer service deliberately...

Not Worth

I previously used a wired Corsair headset that worked fine. I only replaced it because it was 3 yrs old and falling apart at the earcups. After a few months of using this headset, I miss my old wired headset. It never gave me any problems and was...

Wireless - You can walk into the kitchen while still listening to music or talking to friends on the call ; Looks Good - Looks futuristic ; Good Sound - Audio sounds great ; Flip mic up to mute - convenient when you want to mute the mic and talk to...

No low battery indicator - The headset beeps when it has 5 min of battery left which leaves you scrambling for the cord if you're in the middle of a game. It does not have a battery indicator otherwise ; Mic picks up all ambient sound - My friends can...
