Asus Travelite HS-1000W

Not content enough with producing top notch motherboards and sound cards, as well as creating a completely new product in the form of the infamous Eee netbooks, Asus tries their hand at producing a headset. This being Asus, there has to be something...

Also included in the package is a small hard case that can store the headset and its’ accessories, allowing for easy transport without the risk of damage, handy for LAN parties.

ASUS Travelite HS-1000W Wireless Headset

Alongside its range of Xonar sound cards, ASUS takes a shot at the headset market with the wireless HS-1000W and James checks them out today.

In closure, I will re-iterate that for serious music listeners, wireless technology (at least in my testing experience) is not a good solution, with the inherent fuzz enough to scare off any audiophile and the lack of bass depth and wholeness also...

ASUS Travelite HS-1000W

The ASUS Travelite HS-1000W is a wireless headset that operates on the 2.4GHz frequency band. While it is portable and produces plenty of volume, the ...

Portable, capable of loud volume, comfortable

Expensive, sound lacks clarity, microphone's "noise cancellation" doesn't work very well

The ASUS Travelite HS-1000W headset is comfortable to wear and easy to transport. Unfortunately it is also very expensive, and its sound reproduction suffers from a lack of clarity.

Best Headset ever

Wireless - can go outside the house and still works (about 15-20 feet)House in bricks ; Great sound, not too hot ; last at least 3-4 hours on battery

Got to be careful, can lose a screw on each earplug. Really small piece so hard to find if drop on the floor

So disappointing

Pretty good sound quality ; Good wireless range

Short charge cable ; Battery life is not as advertised ; Battery randomly shorts out when it has just been charged ; Sometimes develops high pitched buzzing for no reason (i moved the dongle to another device and it persisted) that won't clear for...

Xense Audio

I love the sound card, I'd give it 6 stars but I don't know why it needs to click so much. My PC Shuts down randomly and the only thing I hear is that Audio cards clicking. But I haven't ruled out the cause.

Extremely high quality Audio ; Plenty of Audio Options ; Great for all around HTPC - Gaming

S/pdif is not working, so I kept it out of my machine because I was running SLI on a micro atx. I somehow misplaced my DVI - 7.1 audo splitters for my speakers. I got it RMA and the S/PDIF still doesn't work. But that isn't the issue because Asus...

Cheap, in a bad way

After navigating the disaster that is ASUS support and returning it per their instructions, it was returned as unrepairable, but under warranty. Unacceptable. Will not buy from again.

Works sometimes, doesn't require a driver in XP or Win7

Super short charging cord. Wireless range is substandard and very affected by any type of interference. Had to RMA two sets, first one, the USB transmitter died, second one the swivel (a known design flaw) broke

I've used this headset for over 2 years now (got it in sept/oct 2009.) I think it's great! It's got excellent crisp sound quality and the battery last at least 6-8 hours on a single charge ; Regarding the length of the charging cable: I have really...

None really ; There was one incident (just once), when during charging the mic recorded crackling noises. Unplugging the charging cord stopped the noise. I wouldn't really consider it a con since it only happened once

Excellant Sound Card

Getting back to 'Sandman' review of this card. There was a misprint of this card in the specifications. This card supports Dolby Prologic II and doesn't not Support Dolby Prologic IIx or IIxc. But there isn't such thing as xc according to Dolby...

The reviews say this is an outstanding sound card

The Asus Xonar Xense is now discontinued. Very hard to find. But if you can find a new one and purchase it, Asus will still support the 3 year warranty of this card

Great Things!

I haven't purchased this card yet. Still on the Auto Notify list with Newegg. Been over a month now. I check for this card every day. Sometimes twice a day. I hope Asus ships more of these cards out soon before the holidays arrive. Would like to be...

Better in games than Creative XF-i cards as the reviews state ; Nice, easy setup of the 5.1 - 7.1 speaker inputs with included extension plug ; The headphones are worth more than the card. You get them for free

I wish Asus would include the optional OP Amps. Or at least offer them on their site for consumer purchase. I can't seem to find them anywhere on the internet. No one carries them
