Asus Vulcan ANC Review

The Asus Vulcan ANC headset is Asus’s first foray into the peripheral market and is currently the only headset that they produce. It’s obviously aimed at pro gamers as it sports the well known Republic of Gamers (ROG) logo and is even labelled as a...

not unless it was free like mine..

I never use these for gaming so i'm glad the Mic can be disconnected. I'm not a musician, so i can't rate the quality of audio levels that they would require. I simply want to have a headset that is comfortable (which all Gaming headsets are gear...

EXTREMELY comfortable. Can wear for long periods of time (watched 2 full length movies on a plane) and your ears dont feel like they are going to fall off :) ; Noise Cancelling is hit or miss for people. On a plane, i dont like using the feature, makes...

Volume levels are Terrible! I kept wishing i could crank it up. You wouldn't need Noise Cancellation if the volume was able to go higher

Great sounding headphone, the microphone was great too while it worked

The microphone quit working after three or four months of buying

Great for Gaming

I can't really rate the ANC because it makes me really nauseous.

Great looks and great sound for gaming. The bass is is really good in this headset regardless if you are listening to music, games, or movies

The sound for music is not as clean as it when you are gaming

Paired this up with my ASUS Xonar Phoebus, its awesome!

ANC is amazing on this headset. Long cables. Love the look, how you can unplug the wires and mic, and love how its so comfortable

Feels like the mic is low quality. Everytime I switch to ANC mode, sometimes it tinkers with my audio settings. And also if I put the volume high, it feels like my headphones is about to bust. But when I turn it up while ANC is off. Its good. Needed...

Outstanding purchase

First off, as stated this is not audiophile quality. That being said, these headphones were never meant to be and are extremely good nonetheless. The main purpose is to cancel out all outside noise so that you can immerse yourself in what you're doing,...

Oustanding noise cancelling ability ; Extremely comfortable ; Long cord ; Lifetime warranty ; Removable mic and cable

Not audiophile quality ; ANC requires batteries

Excellent sound

Took a bit of fiddling in my laptop's settings to get to work, but that's a Dell for you.

It works great with my HT Omega. Incredible sound. Easy install (obviously)

Mic boom is a little finnicky. If it moves a little, it tends to not transmit a signal. Not that big of an issue though

Followup review (6months)

I made a review when I first purchased this headset. I just wanted to come back and say the following ; The 3.5mm red jack(microphone) went bad. I called ASUS support and talked to someone WHO DID SPEAK ENGLISH! The guy issued the RMA and I had my...

I'm pretty sure it was the cord that went bad. Considering how often the cord is the problem in headsets, it would be nice if they could replace just the cord or if a replacement cord was buyable (this headset has a detachable cord).

Had good sound for as long as it worked

Customer service is terrible. Stopped getting sound in the right ear of the headset after a few months, so sent it in for RMA. Takes a while to get any info out of their customer service representatives. The online status check to check for the RMA...

Good for the Price

This was a great headset for the money, had very little buyers remorse when I first tried these months ago. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for over-the-ear headsets at the $100 range.

Very comfortable compared to other over-the-ear headsets; can be worn for hours with very little discomfort; Ears can breathe instead of sweat like other headsets ; Active Noise Cancellation, a feature rare at this price range; though limited, it does...

Bass is sort of weak, but at the $100 price range, most OTE headsets are weak on Bass ; ANC seems like it diminishes sound quality, especially bass and I tend to rarely use it since without ANC, the sound is louder and enough to muzzle sounds ; So far,...
