exceeded expectations

Purchased headset to use with my Amateur (Ham) radio station. Headset was so light I barely noticed it after 4 hours of using it. Microphone audio is great. Is as good or better than a commercial headset designed for Ham radio that costs over $160.00.

Yamaha CM500 Headset

Love the headset. Purchased to use with my Kenwood TS440SAT ham radio. The headset is light on the head and doesn't bother me when wearing glasses. Get good audio reports on the air from the electric microphone. These are a keeper!

no microphone mute switch

A good quality and comfortable headset. There is no inline volume control. I can live with that, but also there no microphone mute switch - which is a must for me. I know I can mute via software but that not good enough (for me).

Wrong description

It states its got a dynamic mic. It does not. It has an electret mic and a battery box in series with the microphone to provide power. It states the phones are noise cancelling - not really. They reduce outside noise passively by covering your ears,...
