Jabra BT2080 Bluetooth Headset

Jabra released a couple of innovative headsets last year, namely the Jabra Halo stereo headphones and the Jabra Stone headset that comes housed in its own portable charger. Some time between those two announcements, Jabra also announced a simpler...

The Jabra BT2080 has a comfortable fit and is easy to use. It has a dedicated power switch and LED indicators for the battery and the Bluetooth connection. It's also very affordable.

The Jabra BT2080 doesn't have very good noise-canceling properties.

Though the call quality could be improved, the Jabra BT2080 is a decent beginners' headset for a very attractive price.

Jabra BT2080 (Review)

As many states across the nation are passing new laws mandating the use of hands-free devices in vehicles, it couldn't be a better time to invest in a bluetooth headset. This device, the Jabra BT2080, offers plenty of features for a low, affordable...

OK headset for basic use, can find on sale regularly

I do not need any frills or extras from my bluetooth headset. I just want it to answer and make calls. I thought this would be a good choice when I found it on sale for $19.99. It set up easily and is easy to use. It is small ... Expand full review

Easy to set up use. Good for beginners or basic inside use. Good battery life. Dedicated power button

Poor noise cancellation/high background noise. Frequent static. ear bud sound quality is acceptable but not great. Ok to poor microphone quality. People I talk too often say its sounds like I am on speaker phone

What Noise Cancelling???

Noise cancelling issues aside, receiving sound is very good. Buttons seemed very easy to use, and the on-off switch was welcomed. With the occasional very low sale prices, this unit can be considered a good throw-away headset.

Very lightweight - very inexpensive

Noise cancelling is non-existent. I use it with MS Communicator (VoIP). During testing, my correspondent claimed he could clearly hear our boss two cubicles away, and not speaking very loudly (hmmm... great spy tool)

"Absolutely abysmal comfort"

Might have great sound, I don't know, but if it's unwearable, who cares?

I don't know...

...because I didn't even turn it on. The comfort of the earpiece is absolutely atrocious. I'm returning this tomorrow. It actually hurt to put the piece in my ear.

Jabra BT2080 - could be better

For the clearest conversations, I practically need to hold the phone up to my ear, and it still isn't great. I believe this model is near the bottom-of-the-line, but I'm not eager to buy another Jabra. I didn't think I would use another Motorola...

Comes with 2 ear hooks, short USB cable, and a short cabled AC charger ; Small and fits well without the using the ear hook

Circus music for incoming calls ; Poor range with my Sony Ericsson W518a ; The battery indicator light is not user friendly
