Jabra EXTREME (Titanium)

Though we've sung the praises of noise-canceling headsets from Plantronics, Aliph, and even BlueAnt, we've sadly not done so with Jabra in 2009 because we just weren't that impressed with its offerings. In fact, the last Jabra headset we were truly...

The Jabra Extreme's features include multipoint technology and A2DP compatibility. It has a dedicated power switch, and the call quality is excellent.

The Jabra Extreme has small volume controls, and it didn't feel very comfortable in the ear.

Despite our fit issues, the Jabra Extreme's advanced features, excellent noise-cancellation, and affordable price tag make it a great Bluetooth headset.

Jabra Halo

What's your style for stereo--earbuds or earmuffs? I go for the earmuff or earpad approach every time, and Jabra's Halo headphones ($130, as of September16, 2009) fit well. They're sleek, unobtrusive, and sturdy. And the Halo felt even more comfortable...

Great-sounding music ; Comfortable headband and earmuff design

Average phone call quality ; Volume and track-skipping controls poorly designed

If you're looking for nonearbud headphones to handle music and calls--but primarily music--the Halo package is a good choice. You'll just have to tolerate the nonfriendly volume and track-skipping controls

Jabra HALO Bluetooth Stereo Headset

Most cell phones these days come with stereo Bluetooth because even the more basic handsets have some kind of built-in music player. We're happy to see this development, as it lets us listen to music cord-free. Still, stereo Bluetooth headsets...

The Jabra Halo has a slim and stylish design that folds down to a more compact and portable shape. It comes with a 3.5-millimeter patch cord in case your device does not have stereo Bluetooth.

The Jabra Halo fits awkwardly over the ears and does not feel like it is securely in place. Call quality suffered when in a noisy environment, and we did not like the touch-sensitive volume controls.

The Jabra Halo is an attractive stereo Bluetooth headset, but that's about all we can say for it.

Jabra HALO Bluetooth Stereo Headset Review

Bluetooth headsets might be associated with spreading legislation demanding hands-free use of cellphones, but the short-range wireless technology also has a more entertaining use: A2DP wireless stereo. SlashGear has been testing out Jabra's HALO...

Minor usability quibbles aside, the Jabra HALO is a decent choice for anybody wanting both wireless media use and hands-free conversations. Dual connectivity is very handy, while the wired option provides a fall-back option for when you’re occasionally...

Putting on the GN Netcom Jabra BT530 ($100 as of December 1, 2008) involved minimal attachment hassles--a plus for those who like their Bluetooth headset to have an earhook.

Comfortable fit, sleek design Hook and no-hook options

Inconsistent call quality Call button hard to reach initially

The BT530's call quality was all over the map: My voice sounded incredibly clear during some calls, but at other times the call recipients picked up on echoes and some distortion of my voice. The other parties sometimes thought my voice sounded hollow,...

Jabra BT 530 Bluetooth Headset

Jabra has been a household name in Bluetooth headsets for years, surviving competition from the likes of trendy names like Aliph and newcomers like BlueAnt. And there's a reason why: Jabra usually delivers quality headsets. Like the BT8040 and the JX10...

The Jabra BT530 is an easy-to-use headset that delivers excellent noise-cancellation. It comes with a variety of gel tips for additional comfort for ears of all sizes.

The Jabra BT530 has a boring design, and voice quality could be improved.

The Jabra BT530 is a solid Bluetooth headset with great noise-cancellation at an affordable price.

Jabra BT530

This stylish headset offers quality noise cancellation for less money than its competitors.

Sturdy fit ; Sleek design ; Two charging options ; Decent noise-canceling performance

Uncomfortable inner earpiece

Although the Jabra BT530 isn’t clear or comfortable enough to steal an Editors' Choice from the Aliph Jawbone, it still offers good noise cancelling performance and a sleek design for about thirty dollars less. It can also pair with up to eight devices...

Jabra BT8040 Bluetooth Headset

This reasonably priced Bluetooth headset has solid audio and can connect to two phones simultaneously.

USB charging cable included ; Connects to two devices at a time

Fit wasn't entirely secure

The Jabra BT8040 sounds okay and has a few nice conveniences. But try before you buy, if possible, to see whether it fits your ear

Jabra Halo Review

Once you try on a wireless stereo headset it's hard to go back to anything wired. The only thing that might be stopping you to acquire a pair of those would be the dorky look that most of them seem to lay over your otherwise cool appearances. Thus when...
