Works great for PC gaming, but PS2 use is limited. I had no problems using this unit with SOCOM, & SOCOM 2. But it does not work with Champions of Norrath. Now I'll have to buy Sony's headset afterall.

I had no problems with it working for SOCOM. The volume button is actually for your voice and not for the headset. I was told that I was very quiet, but when I turned up the volume, it worked like a charm.

This headset *will* work for SOCOM on the PS2, however be aware that the microphone does not pick up sound well. Your voice will come across very quiet during gameplay. You can still be heard, but be prepared for other people asking you to "...move...
