Tritton AX 180

Simple to set up for PCs. In-line remote and breakaway cable are handy

Middling sound for non-gaming audio. Setting it up with a game console is complicated when compared with PC setup

The Tritton AX 180 is a well-made gaming headset, but it isn’t anything special and its sound quality pales when compared with similarly priced dedicated headphones.

Tritton AX 180

The Tritton AX 180s offer fair audio quality and durability.

At the end of the day, many consumers are looking for a simple, no-nonsense headset to throw on their head and start their gaming. If that sounds like what you want to do, the Tritton AX 180s are a solid choice, and should do exactly what’s expected of...

Tritton AX180 Gaming Headphones Review

A great sounding messy headphones.

superb sound in music and games, great looks, compatibility with current consoles, good directional sense

can get messy with wires, USB dependent

The second major problem with the headphones is that it needs a USB power source. It shouldn’t be much of a problem with consoles since you would hardly use up all the slots, but if you plan to use it on the PC, it will gobble up one of your USB ports...

Tritton AX 180 - Review

Very recently we have reviewed a Tritton AX 720 and we loved it so much that we had to review the mini version of AX, AX 180. AX 180 is a gaming earphone set which has alot of potentials. Just like AX 720, AX 180 can be connected to the Playstation3,...

Simple to use ; Light weight ; Great sound ; Multiple compatibility ; Independent sound control

None that we could find ;

The AX 180 is a wonderful product for any gamer or entertainment nut out there. Having said that let me state that, while Alex is the main reviewer, I couldn't help but get my hands on this. After seeing the AX 720 product in action I had to try it out...

Tritton AX 180 Universal Gaming Headset Review

This headset from Tritton Technologies brings the comfort and great sound we've come to expect from their gaming headset to the cost conscious gamer.  Calling this their “Universal Gamin Headset” is no idle boast.  It can plug into just about anything...

Tritton Technologies AX 180 Universal Gaming Headset

Everywhere you look, there's a gaming console set up next to your Big TV. Chances are you pipe the audio through the family home theater system or stereo system because ...

Impressive quality construction and design ; Full console support and PC compatible ; Very comfortable fit ; Break away Inline Controller ; Very good audio gaming quality ; Priced near $49.99 or less

2 days of console and PC testing got me in trouble with “The Boss

As for durability, the outside of the headset themselves are covered by a light, black rubber layer. That gives them a really nice quality feel not to mention, protects them a bit. I'm sure it also helps direct sound and limit distorted vibrations you...

Tritton AX 180 review

Tritton is best known for its multi-speaker surround-sound headsets, but the AX 180 has only a pair of normal stereo drivers built into it. Although it has standard 3.5mm mic and headphone connectors, it's powered by a USB connection and doesn't work...

The AX 180 headset's sound is bass heavy and we were irritated by the audible interference generated by the USB power connection.

Perfect midrange gaming headset.

Great headset for the price. Better durability than Turtle Beach. Looks nice and sounds better. The mic is easy to use and looks sleek. Easy to set up. Honestly, there aren't that many wires, and in any case the wires should be mostly out of sight.

Comfortable. Aesthetically pleasing. Good sound, nice bass. Worth the price

Can be tight for some. May be uncomfortable if used for long periods of time

Stereo headset with mic & multi-platform compatibility.

If you don't want to spend the money or can't afford a nice surround headphone set up this is a great alternative. Clear, clean sound and very comfortable. I highly recommend this headset as a less expensive alternative to the pricey surround headphones.

In their price point they have a very nice, detailed sound to them. You can use them with literally every current generation console and both pc and mac. They're also comfortable enough to wear for hours on end and have plenty of volume

WIRES!!! I hate the amount of wires needed especially when using it with xbox360 due to the wire having to go to the controller. Sound wise, there's a low volume hum/hiss which isn't noticeable during gameplay but is when at game menus
