Martin Logan Mikros 90 Review

Martin Logan has been exploring all sorts of new avenues lately. And so far, we've enjoyed what's come of these new ventures. A company that's built a reputation on a line of somewhat pricey electrostatic speakers, Martin Logan recently introduced a...

Stunningly accurate treble response ; Stylish and well built ; Tight bass with impressive extension

Excessive clamping force ; Lack of midrange warmth ; More expensive than competing models

Martin Logan successfully imports its signature approach to treble to the Mikros 90, and it is a treat for the ears.

MartinLogan Mikros 90 On-Ear Headphones

Not wanting to be left out of the lucrative headphone market, MartinLogan has released the noise isolating Mikros 90. Instead of going the exotic, high-end route of designing a pair of electrostatic headphones to mimic their famous loudspeakers,...

MartinLogan Mikros 90 Reference On-Ear Headphones Preview

At $300, the MartinLogan Mikros 90 Reference On-Ear Headphones are in a very popular "entry-level high-end" bracket. The MartinLogan name will turn heads but those heads have discerning ears.

The proof is in the pudding, so to speak, and while the Mikros 90s look great on paper, we're still unsure how they sound. At $300, they are in a very popular "entry-level high-end" bracket. At this price point, the MartinLogan name will certainly turn...

Some people need to get ears checked!

Cons easily fixable. Get these, sounds incredible!

Bought a 50ft usb extension cord and hooked these up to the end of a Turtle Beach USB soundcard. My source is clean. These headphones sound incredible! Fits my head nicely. Perfect bass, clear mids and highs. You must use a good source to hear these shine

great sound, worth $40!!!

Got these for 39.99 on a egg special. they are a bit tight, but reversing them is much better fit. I plan on stretching them out. They are tight but ive had worse. The sound is superb. I have def tech speakers and prefer higher end stuff. These do not...

Not worth $20.00

None, I paid $130. over a year ago, and there is nothing special about these cans, there are many brands and models that are cheaper and perform better ; the only pro is that you can bend them to fit your head and also they have good workmanship and...

first they are tight and you can't keep them on for over 40 minutes and they start to hurt and soundwise I am not impressed

Nearly Good...

I DID figure out that the person who designed these must have REAR-FACING ears. If the headphones are REVERSED, L/R, then they actually fit very nicely, if a bit snugly. Of course, with L/R sound channels also reversed, that's a separate disaster. But,...

Great Sound ; Great Price ; Pause/Resume works with Android, which is about the best one can hope for in a "Not Designed for Android" world

Fit is TERRIBLE. The pads literally role forward off one's ears, no matter how carefully positioned. They simply won't maintain a proper position/seal if worn as intended. However, there's a potential work-around

Best Value in High End Audiophile Headphones

Highs are outstanding...They are really sweet and extended. Midrange and Lows are good. Decent soundstage. For $57 these are the best headphones out there. I have used with Audioquest Dragonfly and CA DacMagic and LittleDot III headphone amp

Comfort sucks big time. I couldn't wear more than 1 hour. They clamp my head and it really hurts

Good but not great

At MSRP ($300), these would be a bust, only suitable for those who value the name and the production quality over sound quality. At $70, these are one of the best buys out there. They are relatively portable, feel luxurious for the price, and sound...

These headphones definitely rate high on the bang for the buck scale (when purchased on sale). The quality is high, the fit and finish are solid and most of the plastic seems to be of high quality. Sound is good, but not spectacular (which is why I...

Like I mentioned above, the sound quality isn't all that. The bass is a bit weak, but is decently defined. Mids are clean but the highs are also lacking. My biggest complaint though is that they are a bit sluggish, they lack speed. I listen to mainly...
